Hi, Im Sorry i've Formatted my computer yet again, also because my computer was still running infected.....

Also i got to figure it might have been something with Kaspersky kids protection...because i turned it off and i saw no more issues on pages

Sorry i had to say something, i beg you a pardon and thank you for your Huge help, you deserve Kudos and more, for being here helping people, while Kaspersky fails...fails to accomplish with what they promise as a Top Notch Internet Security Company.

Thank You, Berny.
I Wish you all the best might your future reserve you a thousand times more than you expect for yourself.

@Gene15644 Welcome.

Please try this suggestion from @Igor Kurzin ?

  1. Disable Self-Defense via Settings -> General
  2. Exit Kaspersky product, on the Windows Taskbar or hidden icons, right-click the Kaspersky icon, select Exit.
  3. Go to folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP21.3\ and rename the folder Report to Report1
  4. Start Kaspersky Internet Security.
  5. Enable Self-Defense.

Is it safe to delete Report1 folder post this operation?

Thank you @Berny

I am on KIS version 21.3.10.391
So deleting old Report1 folder will not be a problem, right?
Also, my subscription is till next year end, am I allowed to upgrade to newer 2023 version?

I would also like to add that this changing name of old reports folder solved my two problems, older was firefox not connection and latest was chromium not connecting.

@AAAZZZ You are welcome.

Please see → Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium → FAQ Q1
You can upgrade for free from KIS 21.3 to Kaspersky Standard.
With an on top install Kaspersky Standard will import your current license information + your KIS settings.

The download link is available here  → https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/standard
FYI this installer has no regional restrictions.

Hello,

I followed all the instructions from this thread and I can't rename the report folder to report1. I get a prompt message that says "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program. Close the folder or file and try again". Problem is I don't know what folder or file they are talking about. I already closed every windown I had open. Please help 😫
