Hi all.

Just looking for clarification. I was just looking at Eugene Kaspersky's twitter page and followed a link to his blog page and according to him there will be three levels of Kaspersky going forward. They will be Standard, Plus and Premium. He indicates that just AV will no longer be available. I see no mention of a Basic plan. It appears the Standard=KIS. Just want to be clear regarding the new offerings.

Hello,

This link shows the comparison between the versions/plans.

Also, if you search YouTube for "Kaspersky Plus Review: First Impressions" will at least give you an idea of what that version looks like.

Hello Khan,

Welcome back!

No, in the new generation software there's:

  1. Kaspersky Anti-Virus -> Kaspersky Basic
  2. Kaspersky Internet Security -> Kaspersky Standard
  3. Kaspersky Security Cloud -> Kaspersky Plus

?Premium is a service, it can be purchased separately & added too, to any of the new generation software.

Thank you?

Olá@jkiejr

Bem-vindo!

@Danila T.reuniu:  Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ .

And who buys a scratch card in a retail store, from when does the new subscription to Kaspersy Standard take effect?

Hello @JPEKaspersky

Welcome back!

  1. ?As soon as the payment is made &, even if you don't install the software on the purchase date, the "days used" clock starts ticking - on the payment date, not the software install date.
  2. We have no idea what "who buys a scratch card in a retail store", means, related to the subscription question?, please clarify the question?
  3. Did you translate our reply above into Portuguese?

Thank you?

Hello @

The quote is in Portuguese, due to having used the translator, sorry for the mistake..

Then the signature of the card in a store takes effect on the date of purchase in the store.

I didn't know that, I thought it was at the time of installation, because how does the store know I'm buying a subscription based on a card ?

Thanks

Hello @JPEKaspersky

Thank you for posting back & the extra information!

  • Don't worry about the translation thing, it just freaked us out a bit, 'cause there's a rule that translators are not allowed & we were concerned somehow or another, we'd carry the can & get a rollicking?
  • ?Now we understand the card question - yes, correct: IF the purchase is from a physical shopfront, the countdown for the expiration of a subscription activated with an activation code starts from the date when you activate the application on the first device.
  • Once again, Kaspersky creates *different* conditions, for their software, that directly impacts their customers; looks like it may be more advantageous to buy from a physical store, for the new generation software, except, the $$ will probably be outrageous.

Thank you?

Thanks @Flood and Flood's wife ?

I've been a user since 2012 and I was thinking that there would be no other chance of purchasing KS (I don't have a credit card).

I renewed my KIS subscription for one year in May of this year.

I hope to continue using Kaspersky products, the best for me so far, having already tried others in the past.

Hello @JPEKaspersky

You're most welcome!

The "scratch card" question confused us, in our country, people talk about & buy "scratchies" to win money?

We're 'think' Kaspersky will continue to be available, both virtually & physically, for a long time; at least we hope so!

Thank you?

Hello @Flood and Flood's wife.

The confusion was generated because the area where the code is on the card has to be scratched, in order to maintain its inviolability and then to have access to the code.

Thank you.

Off Topic : Asking for help with an online translator is no problem,
however providing suggestions/solutions with an online translator has been forbidden for evident reasons such as wrong , not understandable or confusing content.

As we explained to @JPEKaspersky, we thought the online translator use happened on our end,it freaked us out, bc, we're always wary of getting kicked in the head, for obvious reasons?; we are aware of the rules.

What is the difference between the two lines of software. Is premium comparable to total security.

Hello @jkiejr

Revision of information provided: Premium IS a software package & the full "?️ service", abject apologies for misguiding you?

The crazy thing is their product page makes no mention of the service?️ aspect of the product:

Premium = "Safeguard your digital life with our ultimate plan, combining award-winning antivirus, privacy & identity protection, performance boost and must-have premium benefits such as unlimited VPN and password manager.?

Plus = "Get full cybersecurity plus a comprehensive range of privacy tools. Safeguard your account data, securely manage your passwords, and browse, search and access content with unlimited VPN."

Since Kaspersky products are discussed in this thread, I will ask my question right away: which of the proposed Kaspersky products can protect against Pegasus and this kind of spyware?
Thanks!
