I installed a new app on my pc and I need to allow it through the firewall. In the UI, I change the protection level to ALLOW the app. I then get a screen that asks me to confirm my decision. At that point, the UI is locked up. I have to have t restart the pc to get control back. I am unable to close the program using Task Manager - I have to reboot or sign out. I have included a pic of the error. I have Office Security 7 v 20.0.14.1085 running on Win10 Home Any help would be appreciated.

2/2/2022 Windows Server 2019 as Primary and Only DC. Kaspersky Small Office Security 21.3.10.391 (h) OH MY GAWD!!!! Got a call from the client stating their QB would no longer update. I logged into the serer and neither IE nor Chrome would browse ANY site. After HOURS and HOURS, I determined it was Kaspersky. Apparently some recent update. My ONLY solution was to turn off Web Antivirus, and Network Attack Blocker, AMSI, Mail, and System Watcher. That was the ONLY way to be able to browse, and allow QB to update. I had to turn off mail, as that was blocking local access to my local WatchGuard firewall for the facility. WTF did Kaspersky do that somehow this is ok, and now …

I have two stations where I use the KSOS backup option and at both I have the same problem if I try to restore the blank list appears. I never get an error message when I back up. If I try to recover with Restore Utility then I get the message "There are too many files in the storage to display". You also attach screenshots only because they are in Romanian. The KSOS version is 21.3.10.391 (g). I mention that with previous versions (KSOS 6 or 7) I have never had such problems with similar volumes of data.

I amnot quite clear about the meaning of inherit of app. rules in KB. Does it mean the inheriting of the rights of father process or just those of the attibuted group?

Hi, we have recently installed Small Office Security. I remote desktop into the server on a daily basis from my home office. I have noticed that the Network Attack Blocker is showing the IP address of my LOCAL computer and listing it as an “Attacking computer IP” at random times (usually when I am logged in and active). It is listing various Local TCP ports as being targeted e.g. 1433, 65180, 63975 It shows “Network attack detected” - TCP - Blocked : Scan.Generic.PortScan.TCP - Blocked I do not notice anything being blocked from my perspective as an RDP user. My concern is that MY local machine is infected somehow and trying to do something nefarious? IS this actually so…

when computer turn on, it uses about 30% memory(2.5GB) normally. but recently it uses 50% memory ( 4GB). so i open resource monitor. avp.exe( PID : 1688 ) and avpui.exe ( PID : 22756 ) use about 20% memory. I think it is unusual. could somebody explain about it?

In Windows 10 there is a built-in feature that provides Ransomware protection (Windows Security | Ransomware Protection | Controlled Folder Access). In our company we have Kasperky Small Office Security Personal, and that feature is disabled certanly because Kasperky is assumming the control. Is there any chance of enabling the windows feature ? If not, is the protecton provided by Kasperky superior to the one provided by Microsoft ?

If, I just install KAV server in my client network. The client delete the old KAV server by error!! So all the 12 computers already got a old agent and an old Endpoint Security. So after the installation of the server, I move 4 connected local PC in the “managed device” then use the task created in the setup process to install Agent on these 4 computers. I deployment complete but in the list of computer the status is set to OK, but I got an exclamation mark on “Network Agent is installed” and “network agent is running” without any other information.
