Hello,

Is Bing search engine not supported anymore in URL advisor? On google it works fine but not on Bing.

I am using Edge Browser on Win11 running Kaspersky Free v21.18.5.438(a). I saw a thread for KIS in this forum where this issue is supposed to be fixed. But I am still seeing this issue. See the screenshots where it is showing grey icon on Bing.com while on Google.com it is working as it should.

I am not seeing this option on the main page of Bing search. Although there is an option for that inside Bing search settings, I tried toggling it on and off, but it has no effect on my issue.

Microsoft Edge Version 128.0.2739.42

Win 11 version 23H2 Build 22631.4037

PS Ublock Origin and Bitwarden are the only extensions enabled on Edge.

'Bug 8024645 has been fixed. Please use this version of Kaspersky Protection plugin:

  • *important* -> remove old version of plugin, if it is installed, then install Version 2.11.123.1, updated 14th November 2024

@Flood and Flood's wifeSorry for late reply, I was away from PC for several days.

I removed the previous plugin/extension from Edge and installed the newer one from the link you provided in the above post. Unfortunately, that didn't solve the issue.

PS I am using Edge.

Thanks for posting back & the information! No apology necessary, this issue has been going on for so long, there's no cut-off date for feedback & you've been very helpful providing info & observations. 

@Mikhail Shakhov, please note issue is not resolved with new Kaspersky extension Version 2.11.123.1, in Microsoft Edge Version 128.0.2739.42, Win11 v23H2 Build 22631.4037.

Hello,

I reproduced the issue with new plugin`s version and also clarified, that seems its some compatibility issue with Safe Search feature of Edge browser.

The following workaround has helped me to display our icons:

-Open Edge browser settings

-uncheck the box: Open links from search results in a new tab or window

under Safe Search feature 

If it does not help, try to uncheck all boxes in Safe search settings menu. 

 

Inform me about results.

P.S. Also please keep in mind, that the issue appears only if URL-Advisor settings were changed in Safe Browsing settings => Checked URLs from default value:

-Only URLs in search results

to

-All URLs

With default settings this issue does not appear.

I can see the icon on search result but there is still no pop-up info when I hover my cursor over it (where it shows more info about website) on Bing. Whether plugin is enabled on disabled has no effect on the issue. These are my current settings (I think they are default I am not 100% sure though).

ooo, I see, I reproduced another issue with the non-displayed icons in Bing results with non-default settings(this is another bug). 

I have just checked on my test PC and on VM. The issue with detailed information display does not reproduce with the last version of our plugin and the last available Edge:

Version 131.0.2903.70 (Official build) (64-bit)

Please try to update your browser and check the issue.

I updated to Edge Version 131.0.2903.70 and I have latest version of plugin installed. I disabled all other extensions (uBlock Origin and Bitwarden), cleared cookies for bing.com, unchecked all options in Bing search settings page (screenshot below), and I still have same issue. I don't know what else to try anymore. 😞

Make sure, that the version of our product is 2021 MR19(21.19.7.527). Set Kaspersky Protection plugin to work in Incognito mode(this setting is available in browser`s plugins` settings) and try to reproduce it in Incognito mode. If the issue still persists, please create a request to technical support, we need to analyze this case deeply to find out the root of the problem.

@Mikhail Shakhov, I am on Kaspersky Free 21.19.7.527 version. I tried it in InPrivate Window (Edge equivalent of Incognito Mode) and I can reproduce the same issue. 

I am not sure how I can create a request for technical support as I am using the free version. Only option for me is this forum.

you can select Kaspersky Standard and provide in request the link on this forum`s topic and ask to escalate to experts(Mikhail Shakhov).

After going back & forth and providing every report/detail for almost 2 weeks to the customer support, this is the response I get. I am done. You can close this thread. Thanks to everyone for their response and help here.

It is known that KFree has no official support available, even in the product You are warned about it...
