  3. While my computer is running, whenever I launch Kaspersky, within 5–10 minutes my screen turns black and then comes back after about 2 seconds. I tested this many times and confirmed that Kaspersky is the cause. The issue happens even if I am idle on the desktop, without running any other applications. System details: -Operating System: Windows 10 Home, Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6216) -Kaspersky version: 21.22.7.466(a) -GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB -Driver version tested: Latest driver 581.15 WHQL, also tested older versions with DDU clean install = issue persists -I don't use any other security software -Kaspersky settings: Default -Background apps: None (to minimize conflicts, I closed all unnecessary apps) Here are the troubleshooting steps I've already tried: -Updated GPU drivers (tested both latest and older versions) -Used DDU to perform clean driver reinstallations -Verified Windows is fully updated -Verified system integrity with: . "sfc /scannow" . "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" . "chkdsk C: /f /r" -Hardware has been tested and confirmed working normally I'm attaching a screenshot of the Windows Event Viewer section related to the error. Although this part is in Turkish, I've added an English version below. Here: "The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. The component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer. If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event. The following information was included with the event: \Device\0000007f Error occurred on GPUID: 100 The message resource is present but the message is not found in the message table." Thank you for your attention and support.
  4. Hello guys, Currently i am running Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Build SO: 19045 with latest Microsoft Windows 10 updates. I was using Kaspersky Cloud Free as my antivirus. Yesterday i received an update for my anti-virus for the newest Version 21.9.6.465. I cannot open On-Screen Keyboard even if i press the shortcut keys CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+P. I also uninstall the antivirus completely and remove all leftovers. I also Uninstall only one of my web browsers Mozilla Firefox I downloaded the latest version available on the global website from Kaspersky and from My Kaspersky (Downloads). The version is the right one for European countries. If you remember well i already faced this problem in the past. But on that time Seem's there isn't any version available for European countries, so the resolution was removing completely Kaspersky free from my system and install the Kaspersky Security Cloud Free. I think I will make the same when you find a solution, please tell me OK! I did a Microsoft Windows Clean install on March 30, 2023. I am running out of ideas to fix the problem! I use Home Banking a Lot i need my On-Screen Keyboard to put the Password instead of Physical Keyboard. I think it's safer! But if nothing of this works in either Browser I will be forced to downgrade. But i also think that sooner or later my anti-virus will want to make the upgrade happen again. So, what can i do to avoid that? Thank you very much for the time that you will spend to try to find a solution. Best Regards. Hugop.
  5. All I've got are old personal archives from my findings and this onde show is from KS 21.22 but still the unsolved mystery with scans not being saved and registered were acting defective for over two years. (Files are to big to post here) Back in 2024 in attempt to fix a common bug found by others where quick mouse virus scan prompt was not working. The instrunction was to repair or uninstal Kaspersky Standard. Doing that, It did solve this particular problem but my unknow bug remained unresolved. I've managed to survive with annoying bug for months untill KS 21.24 came, making all scans to disappear uppon finishing. So after all the embarassment spend trying understand why this curse never got resolved. I've ended up again in completely uninstal KS and downloading from MY KASPERSKY service account this layest version. Doing that, I've ran the background scan while installing and followed the progression till the end. The scan saved on reports page and I've began to execute many viruses scans to check If they were being saved, and not disappear. After four days putting to test, there have bem registered more than 23x viruses scans and they were all saved at last. Finally! 🙏 I've running now a Full scan like I usually do every week and I Hope Kaspersky co. start managing their updates with more caution and *don't* push newer version anytime soon.

  7. I left my computer alone for two weeks, When I returned my Kaspersky icons had disappeared from my desktop. Kaspersky still appears to be running but I cannot launch it from the apps list and get the same annoying dialogue as the original poster. Kaspersky also cannot open the secure browser to my Bank or other financial sites. I have tried downloading Microsoft.net framework and reinstalling it but this achieves nothing either. Is this some monkey business from Microsoft?
  8. Hello, I suppose it can be the known Bug 5657225: [SUPPORT] Mouse and keyboard does not work after reboot (patch i appliance) It is related to our filters, which write in registry its values - only Windows OS can be affected. In most cases there was desinfection procedure + patch appliance. The problem will be fixed in next product`s version. Here are the list of steps, which can help to resolve the problem(highest workaround is easiest one): 1. Use USB-Recover tool: https://support.kaspersky.com/14221 to restore default mouse/keyboard filters values. USB Recover tool is based on KRD18(Linux OS), so keyboard and mouse must work within BIOS and this OS, because they are not related to Windows and its registry filters. 2. Use System Restore. It can be run from Recovery mode: https://www.ubackup.com/backup-restore/windows-10-recovery-mode-1021.html Also you can run command prompt from this mode and delete keyboard and mouse filters manually: 3. Or manually delete Kaspersky values from registry: Reboot PC - Troubleshooting - CMD - open regedit - delete klkbdflt and klmouflt values in UpperFilters from the following path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM1\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM1\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96f-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} The last one - is the hardest way to restore keyboard and mouse and it is better to do not use it, if you are not Advanced user of PC(skills of work with Windows registry is required). Thanks. P.S. We have had the problem with keyboard and mouse filters before(in 2016 and after), but it were single cases, which were related to kavremover utility, improperly installation/uninstallation of Kaspersky products, customer`s registry problems etc.
  9. Advice and Solutions (Community Knowledgebase) Disclaimer. Read before using materials. This article is about Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (KES for Windows) Description FDE precheck is a utility used for advanced Full Disk Encryption compatibility testing. It contains latest drivers which will be implemented in future KES releases. FDE precheck also collects diagnostic data used to fix compatibility issues. Inability to use laptop keyboard and\or touch-pad is one of the most frequently met issues. Using FDE precheck you can understand if compatibility issue was already fixed and will be included in next release or it should be addressed. You can download latest FDE precheck utility using following links: For KES 12+ - https://support.kaspersky.com/14328 System requirements Single operating system should be installed on the test machine, FDE Precheck can't properly function on a host with multiple operating systems. Use administrative account to run the utility. Read before proceeding Decrypt the test host and remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security and AES module. Do a backup of the critical data on the test machine. Follow the test sequence exactly as stated below. Do not manually stop the execution of the utility. The system will automatically restart several times, it is an expected behavior. Plug in laptop. Do not run test on battery. Failure to comply with steps above may lead to unpredictable consequences. Test sequence Make sure machine decrypted does not have KES or AES module installed not running any KL drivers has no critical data plugged in Reboot. Copy and unpack fde_precheck.zip archive. Run elevated fde_precheck.exe (either by right-clicking and choosing Run as administrator or by starting it from an elevated command prompt). If the program will not find any incompatibilities the following message box will appear: Press Yes, to initiate installation of the encryption drivers and initiation of the test. Wait for the automatic reboot, then login using the administrative user as was done earlier. Press OK on the pop-up that will appear shortly after the reboot: Press Yes in the UAC window if it will appear shortly after. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on the desktop. After automatic reboot you will see the preboot agent, and it will require human presence to complete those tests. If possible, record the whole process on a camera of smartphone. You will be asked to enter random keystrokes using the keyboard and mouse. In case of successful keystroke registration you will see something like that: Just follow the instructions that will appear on the screen and press "NEXT >" when done with each test. In case FDE Precheck Preboot agent will fail booting or will freeze at some point, please take photo of the error message, or record the whole process on a camera and reboot the machine if necessary. OS will boot either way. Login using the administrative account that was used earlier. At this point drivers will be removed in the background and host will be rebooted one last time automatically. Wait for several minutes (up to 10-15 minutes) until next automatic reboot will occur. Do not initiate reboot manually! It will be done automatically. Manual reboot at this stage may result in corruption of the OS. All preparations are run in background, it is normal that there will be no indication of activity on desktop. The following three files are always created. All three files are mandatory to provide for analysis. fde_precheck_report.txt fde_precheck.log (will be located in the folder with fde_precheck.exe) Description of what have happened during tests (with screenshots and video if possible).
  10. Having upgraded to Premium from Total Security, the virtual keyboard in Safe Money no longer functions correctly. Clicking on the keys does not always register, so passworded files and websites are very difficult to access unless I resort to using the real keyboard, which defeats the point of having a virtual keyboard for security
  11. Quick update... Icon does seem to be green on many web sites... but not here on this forum.. May be it "off" for this site as it is Kaspersky's and so is trusted... I dont know.. but it seems to be all good.
  12. Quick startup keeps disabling some of my preferred startup items, I turn them back on thru the Kaspersky UI, It tells me to reboot. System then allows them all to run, but then Kaspersky Standard disables them again. Still Broken

This is exactly what I tried to explain to Kaspersky support. They have changed their system (just after my yearly renewal), now my vpn is useless. And I have to go through all kind of steps, including installing a debug variant of VPN, send all kinds of reports, which I have to dig up in the android folders somewhere. I am not willing to invest my valuable time in this proces, so I decided to wait a few weeks, and then move to another VPN option. I am tired of providers who think they can launch new software/updates without taking responsability of thorough testing. I am not a test dummy!

  17. Hi, I noticed that "Applications Launch Control" in task mode "Statistics only" does block (deny) applications from starting. I believed that "Statistics Only" wouldn't block anything but in this case the opposite seems to be true. Whenever I see that an application is being blocked I add it to the "Rules list..." under "Rules managing" after which the application runs without any problems. The events all say that there are no rules found for applications that are being blocked. Does this have something to do with the option "Replace local rules with policy rules" under "Rules managing"? Can someone please point out why task mode "Statistics only" does block applications in "Applications Launch Control? KSC: 13.2 Kaspersky Security for Windows Server: 11.0.0.480 Best regards
  18. I've been using Total Security for at least 10 years and never had an issue until recently. I have a 2.5 year old PC HP laptop running Windows 10 and a 2 year old Android phone running whatever the latest update is. I extended my Kaspersky licence to my phone. I use the Chrome browser on both devices. Over the past 2 to 3 months (it's sept. 4, 2022), both devices have suddenly shut off while I was in the middle of something. Re: my phone, it's happened in the middle of me writing a text and in the middle of a phone call. On my laptop, it has happened while I was working in an excel document and while I was shopping online and about to hit the checkout button. Those are just the examples I can remember. I have been able to restart my phone afterwards but my laptop doesn't want to power on afterwards. I sometimes can't use it for hours. Once it was about 2 days before it would start again. At the moment, I'm not able to power it up and I don't know how to resolve that. Perhaps this is just coincidence but lately, I've been getting the occasional pop-up that tells me I've exceeded my 300 MBs of VON protection and offers a button for extended protection. I followed it once to find out it's trying to sell me an add-on. I've told it to get lost every other time. Has anyone else experienced any of the above? Does Kaspersky know about it? When I'm able to get back into my laptop, is there anything I can do so that it won't happen again? Thanks
  19. We're on 12.11.0.637 right now It seems like some computers are fixing themselves without having to do anything, while others are suddenly experiencing this issue out of the blue despite working since the update. So now I am not sure what is causing this. One computer that I had previously reinstalled suddenly starting having it again, then after a few restarts it fixed itself. There needs to be a quick way to fix this because users can't be carrying on while their AV is not running correctly. Shouldn't it try to restart protection on it's own?
  20. I hate kaspersky because it keeps making a please wait loop and when time runs out, the pig app just decides to block quick share

  22. There is an example of a step-by-step instruction to configure Single-Sign-On (SSO) for KATA 4.1/5+/6+ into HOME.LAB domain. Prerequisites Deployed Central Node Server Name should be FQDN. (In current case FQDN name of Central Node - kata-cn.home.lab) It can be checked via Settings/Network Settings of Central Node. A and PTR record should be set for Central Node in DNS. Domain User Account should be created to set up Kerberos authentication by means of keytab file (in current case Domain User Account is kata-sign-on). AES256-SHA1 encryption algorithm should be enabled into created Domain User Account. Step-by-step guide to create keytab file On Domain Controller: Launch CMD As Administrator Execute the following command to create keytab file C:\Windows\system32\ktpass.exe -princ HTTP/kata-cn.home.lab@HOME.LAB -mapuser kata-sing-on@HOME.LAB -crypto AES256-SHA1 -ptype KRB5_NT_PRINCIPAL -pass * +dumpsalt -out C:\TEMP\kata-sgn-on.keytab The utility requests the kata-sign-on user password when executing the command. The SPN of the selected server is added to the created keytab file. The generated salt is displayed on the screen: Hashing password with salt "<hash value>" For multiple Central Node servers you need to save "<hash value>" of hashing password to add an SPN for each subsequent Central Node servers further using ktpass.exe utility. On Central Node Web Interface Move to Settings/Users/Active Directory Integration Add the created keytab file: Keytab file status section contains File which contains SPN for this server The file contains section HTTP/*****@*****.tld Under Users tab click Add and select Domain user account. Set domain user as <username>@<domain> On client machine Host should be joined to the same domain. Domain user should be logged in with account added into the Central Node. Open Control Panel/Internet Options Click on Security and select Local Intranet Click on Sites and then on Advanced Add FQDN of central node - kata-cn.home.lab Close windows: Launch Web Browser and access to Web Interface of the Central Node https://kata-cn.home.lab:8443 and it should be opened without asking any Login/Password.
  23. Scenario Administrator tries to install Kaspersky Security Center Network Agent (klnagent). It might be that Network Agent removal tool cannot delete entries from registry, this is why this manipulation is required. Once all such entries are deleted, Network Agent installation should be successful.
