Should be blocked and never offered for you if you have blocked upgrade launchers like this 🙂

I went to check more deeply on the subject, I was looking to see if it was possible to block it as much as I did now, or through the firewall, I wasn't able to do so before using the firewall, because all Kaspersky processes are hidden, now it takes you out of the hidden, I can see it.

Friend, after a while looking at KASPERSKY here, checking and found it, I went to manage application >>> Restrictions, when I arrived at the window I had to remove the Kaspesrky product from hidden so that it could appear, follow the image below to check if it is correct. I'm going to restart the computer here to see if the rules will come out or not. When I come back, I'll post whether they came out or not.

    Also,

If you want prevent automatic upgrade for example from version 21.16 to 21.17 then i see one option - block with firewall upgrade.exe and upgrade_launcher.exe :classic_biggrin:

In older versions of kaspersky was this feature included in settings something like this --> do not install new versions... or so..

Thanks for the information, but this tip you gave only works for updating the database. I wanted to block product updates.

Great friend, like it, I'll test it to see if it works here for me.
Can you answer my other questions?
I numbered it to make it easier

How nice it would be to choose when to install the latest version of the product manually. It would be great if the Kaspersky team had seen our comments to put a button to choose when to install or not the new version of the software

  5. Hello Everyone, Good afternoon.
I'm here raising another subject for knowledge, I hope you can clarify the matter.
I will be detailing the subject with some points to make it easier.

If you can put the answers in the points that are mentioned, it will be better for understanding.

1- We know that there is a way to manually update the Kaspersky database so that it can be updated manually, so far so good, now I wanted to know "How do I prevent the Kaspersky product version from being updated automatically?"
2- If there is any way to disable automatic updating of the Kaspersky version, could you provide a step-by-step guide?
3- I see that the vast majority of Antivirus products on the market have this option to update the product version when the customer wants to do so. Examples of antiviruses are AVAST, ESET, BITDEFENDER and others.
4- I see that other products on the market like Avast always launch a new version of their product every month. Kaspersky takes a long time to launch its products, why?
5- Could you tell us when Kaspersky releases new versions?

I would like to thank everyone on this subject, I hope my doubts are resolved.
    Thanks! 🙂

    Hello @SystemInfo,

the databases are stored in the (hidden) folder 'C:\ProgramData' as required by MS.

The databases themselves are stored encrypted in folders above 'C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\[version]', e.g. for MR16 in 'C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP21.16\Bases\'.

If you want to see which files have been downloaded and installed/changed, you can customize the update report:

      Reveal hidden contents

Thank you friend, for helping to identify where it is. 🙂

Updated files are stored in kaspersky folders. As far i know it was klava or bases or something like this.

Dont remember exact names of folders I am not on pc currently.

You are asking technical question for advanced users.

    Hugs friend.
And that I like to know. In other antivirus forums everyone knows where and which files are being updated.
I need to know, when you are at the computer, can you help me with this matter?
I'll wait for someone to tell me exactly where it is. 🙂

  8. Good afternoon people
I'm here wanting to know when Kaspersky antivirus is updated, where are the update files?
All security software that I have used and informed which files are updated or the folder where they are.
Therefore, my question is if someone can tell me if there is a link explaining all this information, I would be grateful.

I have an application that I run daily at my PC startup, every time Kaspersky pops up, and shows that the application with restrictions is attempting to receive sound...

No matter what I choose, Remember my choice for this sequence or Trust this application, this pop-up will be there the next time I boot up my PC.

It's been 2 years now and it's annoying. Is there any way I can stop this from appearing? I don't use mic in that application so doesn't matter if it was blocked or not.

    Let's go.
I'll try to explain what I understand.

    • Go to Settings >> Privacy Settings >> Webcam and Microphone Control >> Check the box to block access to the microphone for all Applications or uncheck the second box to stop notifying if an Application is using the Microphone.

Support and ticket creating - my.kaspersky.com

If you see 0 blocked by kaspersky it doesn't mean that kaspersky not working 🙂 simply adguard was faster in blocking ads. And you can use both.

Very good to know this information. I hadn't thought about what you said, Adguard was faster then.
How good it was to exchange experiences here with you in this conversation. 🙂

Você também deve usar o adguard... Por que não... o adguard tem bons filtros e muitos filtros incluídos.

I forgot to ask you something.
What is the link for me to open a ticket?
Answering your question because I don't use Adguard.
Adguard did not work together with Kaspersky Protection. At the beginning of this topic I even reported with print that it wasn't working.

    Okay...

You are right Brave is not supported with safe money.. You can create support ticket for add Brave into supported browsers also.

But also doesn't support kaspersky protection addon but after tweak it is supported.

But i always use Brave. If I need safe money then change default browser to Firefox (tweaked).

For example I am on Brave and visiting bank website kaspersky offering that I can open website in protected browser if i want I clock yes open.... And Firefox will be opened.

    Easy.

I would be very happy if Kaspersky included Brave and Vivaldi and everything would be perfect. 🙂
But thanks for the help. I'm going to continue looking for a YouTube ad blocker here, one that doesn't cause problems with Kaspersky Protection.
If you know a good one other than Adguard you will be welcome. 🙂
