Hi, I have some HP portable computers, probook 450 G6 and G7, and I have to launch the KRD. I’m launching it on a USB DVD reader. The DVD is good because it’s working on other computers. I tried with an USB bootable key too and the problem is the same. I downloaded KRD tuesday. When I select “english” then “ Graphic mode”, or “limited graphic mode” all the lines appears on the screen and the launching stop on “starting hwsetup”. The disc stop to turn at this moment and nothing happens. Then I switch off the computer, and I switch it on, I have a black screen, the fan is running and I have to wait until the computer runs out of battery to turn it back on and access Windo…

Would Kaspersky update the gentoo environment of KRD anytime? I mean, upgrade OpenRC version, kernel version, xfce, firefox etc - they are all legacy (~4 years old), so that I think its a good time to consider upgrading. Handing the user a product that includes an outdated web browser (FF52) may also be risky… Thanks in advance

Hello, I’m booting from Kaspersky Rescue Disk. I’m trying to scan a dvd\cd which is connected to a usb port but the disc is not recognized as a parameter under “change parameter”. I can see the disc and the data in the disc and i can mount disc to somewhere else like (mnt/KRD2018/Volumes) and use the disc but i can’t scan the disc. Is it possible to manually add folder to scan? something like scan /path/to/folder/to/scan? is there some special way or place i need to mount my disc in order to scan it? One note, if i connect a regular USB Drive it is recognized and i’m able to scan it. Please help me.

Is there one of you who has a laptop MSI CR61 2M with a processor intel core i3-4100 M and clock speed 2.5GHz and 8 gb memory. I use Kaspersky internet security and I have a usb stick with the iso files of the image kdr.iso. This is for creating a Kaspersky rescue disk. I want to boot up this usb stick but this is not working. I have selected the usb stick as the first boot option in the UEFI without csm, but it does not start up when I boot again. See also the attachments. Should the secure control be off or on? Please reply and thank you in advance. grtz, Gilberto

Yesterday I downloaded the KRD iso image and made a bootable USB drive. I booted a Toshiba laptop that runs Windows10 but very slowly. KRD found a Trojan! Wehe! As I finished I decided to use the “Cleanup KRD Artefacts” option. The prompt said that this would remove the bases, the reports, close the tool and restart the computer. The on-screen messages confirmed deletion of the artefacts but the tool did not close and the laptop did not restart. So I chose the “Close” option which presented me with three options: Logoff, Restart, Shutdown. I chose Restart (and removed the USB key). The tool closed and seemed to exit to a UNIX shell but the laptop did not restart.

Hello, I have to scan my PC with the KRD due to an virus/trojan infection. On the CD is the latest Version of KRD - 18. I downloaded it one hour ago. How is it possible to Update the Database in this Version of the KRD. For example in KRD 10, there was an option in the Kaspersky Rescue Tool window, where it was possible to update the database. Or is this an actual version with an updated database every day on the Kaspersky Website? My PC in connected to the network via LAN. Thanks in advance! Tino

Hello, I have a question about the bootable Kaspersky rescue disk. Is there any way to hard-set DNS servers so that they do not load from DHCP on startup? I know how to set static DNS servers from within the OS but my settings always get wiped whenever the system is shut down. I have tried editing the /etc/resolv.conf file and even setting it to read-only, but even this file gets regenerated every time it is booted up. Thank you

Hello, The disk boots well and goes as far as the window where you choose the type of interface you want to start. When trying to start any of the graphical interfaces, the monitor goes completely black without any error message. It starts well on any other machine with integrated Intel GPUs. Can anybody confirm if GTX 2070 Super is supported on this KRD version? Sincerely

This post is informational. This issue has existed for Kaspersky Rescue Disk v10 and v18 in Windows 10. It causes Volume Shadow Storage based operations, such as backups in Acronis True Image and Windows System Restore, to fail. When creating a KRD on a USB flash drive, essential upper filter(s) "volsnap" (and "fltsrv") are removed from the Windows Registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71a27cdd-812a-11d0-bec7-08002be2092f} replacing them with Kaspersky's filter "klbackupdisk". Adding those filters back into the value "UpperFilters" restores VSS functionality: "UpperFilters REG_MULTI_SZ klbackupdisk volsnap fltsrv" I originally f…

2 years ago I created a DVD with the Kaspersky Rescue Disk program. Windows 10 has recently stopped loading. With the help of Kaspersky Rescue Disk, I saved all my data to an external hard drive. After that, I reinstalled Windows 10. When I connected an external hard drive to my laptop, Windows 10 did not find the files that I saved on it with Kaspersky Rescue Disk. After that, I booted the laptop from the Kaspersky Rescue Disk and transferred all the files from the external hard drive to the internal hard drive of the laptop. After that, I started Windows 10 and found that the operating system again does not see the files transferred to the hard drive by the Kaspersky Re…

I created KRD 18 with Rufus and can boot my DELL 7530 with secure boot on. However, with the 4K monitor the font is very small to make out any running scripts. After loading there is no network connection and cannot create a new one. The hard drives are also not recognized. I have attached my system configuration. Will there be an update soon to fix these issues for newer configurations?

I was trying to make a bootable antivirus USB flash drive to see if I could start a computer that refuses to start. Using Rufus.p I tried to burn the file Krd.iso and make a bootable USB flash drive. In the process two flash drives were destroyed. I got no bootable flash drive and I lost two USB’s. What happened? If any one of these two USB’s that got damaged is installed the computer just do not start. I would like to know what happened. I follow instructions carefully. Any help would be highly appreciated.

hello. First time using Kaspersky Rescue Disk. First time trying to rescue a computer period. The trouble i’m having is this… I have a lenovo b570 laptop. It would not access bios or boot from usb/cd/dvd. I removed the hdd, and it booted right into kaspersky rescue disk. So, as i’m following suggestions, i attempt to run the update before a system scan, and it of course does not have a disk drive to use. So, my curiosity has me questioning whether or not to place the hdd back into it’s spot and see if it picks up on it? -or- is that a big no-no? I’m tech savy enough to feel confident in myself in following some direction on what to do, so long as it’s nothing like t…

I have Kaspersky working via PXE for most physical hosts but KVM virtual guests show the following error: Text of the error: No ethernet interfaces found on your system, PXE boot won't work. Cannot get a DHCP address. Check the cables on the ethernet interfaces. I can temporarily set the KVM virtual guest to use an emulated Intel e1000 network card, perform PXE, get to the desktop and then hot unplug the Intel e1000 and replace it with a paravirtualised VirtIO ethernet interface. I can also boot off the ISO and networking simply works. The output of ‘lsmod | grep ^virtio’ shows the following: virtio_net virtio_scsi virtio_console virtio_balloon …

I am having 4 Linux Servers with 12 Drives in each, I am mounting my KRD.iso file for the server & while booting i am getting kaspersky GUI page & clicking forward i am navigating to Rescue tool, where it is showing only memory drives in (parameters tab), i want to scan my server physical drives. I don’t want to install samba on my servers and as all know we can’t mount linux drives on windows servers to scan & even i don’t want to make my server dual boot. I want to scan my devices individually. Please let me know how to scan physical drives ? Any suggestion on “Terminal commands” or anything else please let me know ?
