	KRD didn't like me attempting to run a version from 2016 understandably, so downloaded what appears to be v18 yesterday (3.16.24) and created a bootable CD. Loaded without error and told me to update. Setup wireless. Clicked "try again" and off to the "races." Or so I thought. Visually and operationally this HP Pavilion g6-1d60us notebook is very sick. See pic below. However, it came back with a  <span style="color:#d35400;">clean </span>"bill of health" from KRD... and I set it to check all partitions on the drive.
</p>

<p>
	HP is running Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit (ver 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1).
</p>

<p>
	As the pic shows, nearly everything comes up as a .PDF... and tries to open as a .PDF. This doesn't work too well!
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone seen this previously. Any thoughts. Attempted to ask <em>Google</em>, but it didn't understand the question.
</p>

<p>
	Oh yes, I'm told this unit rarely, if ever was connected to the Internet as it was used primarily to run Ridgid <em>SeaSnake</em> sewer cameras. Also, the Google Chrome was installed just a couple of day ago via download to thumb drive using another system. It did function... until shut down. Only way to start was to reinstall... which again, good 'till it was closed.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks in advance. Any questions I will try to address as best I can.

	I tried to use this topic as a solution, however the link sent for KRD 2024 beta did not work.

	I have a Kaspersky Rescue Disk that I created at the beginning of 2023 on a USB flash drive.
</p>

<p>
	Today (12-7-2023) I booted my Windows 11 PC from the flash drive to update the virus definitions. I got as far as the opening menu, where you select graphical mode, not graphical mode, hardware info, etc. No matter what I chose, my screen went blank and became unresponsive, and I had to restart my computer.
</p>

<p>
	I came to this forum to see if anyone else had this experience, and was surprised to see no mention of the rescue disk - see the attachment.
</p>

<p>
	Thus my question: Is the Kaspersky Rescue Disk no longer supported?
</p>

	Hi there,
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	I'm having issues running Kaspersky Rescue Disk properly in my Lenovo IdeaPad 5 15 ARE05.
</p>

<p>
	I'll leave the exact steps I did and what results I got, with screenshots and photos along the way.
</p>

<p>
	1- Downloaded the KRD ISO file from the official website.
</p>

<p>
	2- Burned the ISO into a 16GB USB drive using Rufus Portable v3.20, download from this site <a href="http://rufus.ie/en/" rel="external nofollow">Rufus - Create bootable USB drives the easy way</a> <span style="color:#7f8c8d;"><em>(see Rufus configuration.png)</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	3- Booted from the USB drive &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; KRS. Graphic mode —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#c0392b;">Empty black screen</span></strong> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see Black screen.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	3.a- Rebooted from the USB drive &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; KRS. Limited graphic mode —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#c0392b;">Empty black screen</span></strong> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see Black screen.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	3.b- Rebooted from the USB drive &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; Hardware info —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#c0392b;">Empty black screen</span></strong> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see Black screen.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	4- Rebooted &gt; Opened BIOS setup &gt; Changed "<strong>Boot Mode</strong>" from <u>UEFI</u> to <u>Legacy Support</u> and "<strong>Boot Priority</strong>" from <u>UEFI First</u> to <u>Legacy First</u> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see UEFI to Legacy.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	4.a- Saved changes &amp; booted from USB &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; KRS. Graphic mode —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#27ae60;">Operation Successful</span> </strong>+ <span style="color:#e67e22;"><strong>Warning</strong></span> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see Warning.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	4.b- Rebooted from USB &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; KRS. Limited graphic mode —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#27ae60;">Operation Successful</span></strong> + <strong><span style="color:#e67e22;">Warning</span></strong> <em><span style="color:#7f8c8d;">(see Warning.jpg)</span></em>
</p>

<p>
	4.c- Rebooted from USB &gt; KRD screen appeared &gt; Picked English &gt; Hardware info —&gt; <strong><span style="color:#27ae60;">Operation Successful</span></strong> <em><a href="https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12MLItDIQBl8T7agdxyq4Q51-KcJmWt26?usp=sharing" rel="external nofollow">(download report)</a></em>
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	<strong>FYI:</strong> <span style="color:#7f8c8d;"><em>Find additional screenshots for my current BIOS configuration.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	I hope all of this will help in resolving this issue.
</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>
	Thank you.

All in all, you can see everything on the film, nothing works.
I tried different options, i.e. burning a krd.iso image on a cd and booting from a pendrive. Each time the effect is the same.
Laptop to Hp pavilion 1050ew. The operating system is Windows 10 Home.

If you need more detailed information (logs or something else, I am asking for detailed instructions, I do not know linux, but I think I can do it).

All is here:

	Hi.
</p>

<p>
	I have a Rescue USB that I am unable to boot on a NUC11TNHi5 (<a href="https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/205594/intel-nuc-11-pro-kit-nuc11tnhi5/specifications.html" rel="external nofollow">https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/205594/intel-nuc-11-pro-kit-nuc11tnhi5/specifications.html</a>)
</p>

<p>
	I would like to run a scan, but when I try and boot the USB I only get the below error on the screen. Just a black screen with "._" in white.
</p>

<p>
	THe USB works on other machines. I have also tried a new USB  with bit FAT-32, NTFS, ISO and DD but always get the same error.
</p>

<p>
	SecureBoot is disabled.
</p>

<p>
	Currently it has Ubuntu 20.4 server installed, but same on another NUC11 with windows 10 installed.
</p>

<p>
	Any ideas of what can be the issue?
</p>

<p>
	Please not that this is before I get the screen where I can choose "Graphics mode", so it is just a second or 2 after pressing to boot from the USB.
</p>

<p>
	Thanks
</p>

	Hi there
</p>

<p>
	The problem I am facing is that the USB drive boots, but none of the first 3 commands work. The first two end in a black screen, the third simply reboots the system.

	I just download the last Kaspersky Rescue Disk version and made a bootable USB stick using Rufus (following the <a href="https://support.kaspersky.com/krd18/howto/14226" rel="external nofollow">site instructions</a>).<br />
	After rebooting the computer and selecting the USB stick as the boot option, I get stuck on a console (black screen with just an underscore). I don't get to see any Kaspersky logo or menu. If I remove the stick, the Windows OS starts as usual.
</p>

<p>
	Any ideas on why this is happening and how to fix it?
