Hi,

I have used apps like CCleaner in the past and they show detail of what they are going to clean/delete. Can Kaspersky Plus please do the same?

Hide this from the average user if you want but as a software developer I want to know what you are deleting.

Is there a log somewhere that details what speed-up did?

Thanks

Mark.

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

Unfortunately, currently in the last version 21.4 still there is any feature that shows and/or logs the actions performed in the Speed-Up feature.

Hi! I'm also reluctant to have Kaspersky fix registry issues without having any details of the issues to be fixed. Kaspersky keeps telling me that there is one Windows registry issue that can safely be fixed. The green "View" button reveals the information that it's got something to do with "false ActiveX objects registration", but I am not told what "false ActiveX objects" Kaspersky has found. Please provide more PC Speed-Up details and let (advanced) users know what Kaspersky intends to fix. Thanks in advance.

I ALSO want to know what exactly PC Speed-Up wants to do. Six issues, but only extremely vague titles. If you went to a car mechanic and asked them to look at your car, and they just said "yeah, I found the problem and will fix it", you'd want to know WHAT THEY FOUND and WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO to "FIX IT". C'mon guys, you need to tell the user a lot more than you are currently.

I agree, and I have Liked the above 2 posts, so I'm not into the blind faith approach in what Kaspersky finds, either. But, I guess the "saving grace" is that Kaspersky isn't finding 60-80-100 issues?

Run CCleaner or Glary Utilities and I bet they'll find those higher numbers, they do show the key information, but at least Kaspersky seems conservative in what it finds. Last time it was 6 reg keys, now it is only 2.

This is really worrisome, how do I know NSA hasn't slipped me an NSA version that controls the cleaning and it's not really cleaning anything, it's just making it easier for them to spy on me?

Is there a way to compare the old registry to the new clean registry to see what has occured?

I doubt 261,359.34 is gonna help myself with anything.

Hello @Lucy and Luke

Welcome!

Nirsoft, RegistryChangesView

Description:

RegistryChangesView is a tool for Windows that allows you to take a snapshot of Windows Registry and later compare it with another Registry snapshots, with the current Registry or with Registry files stored in a shadow copy created by Windows. When comparing 2 Registry snapshots, you can see the exact changes made in the Registry between the 2 snapshots, and optionally export the Registry changes into a standard .reg file of RegEdit.

Thank you🙏

Still waiting for an update that provides more PC Speed-Up details. Just telling users that K has found a "false ActiveX objects registration" that needs to be fixed is pointless if you don't know what exactly it is that needs to be fixed.

Hello @Buddel

Welcome back!

Please take the sage advice provided (to you) by Moderator @Schulte - he begins with: Du kennst ja das Spiel:

You get to select if it's:

Ich habe einen Verbesserungsvorschlag

OR
Ich möchte eine Beschwerde einreichen

Also, it's not necessary to make *duplicate posts & OR bump topics*.
Thank you🙏

I didn't mean to make duplicate posts. What I wrote here was just another reply to the OP's post above, and what I wrote in the German section of this forum was an update in my own thread. Anyway, thanks for your "sage advice"; I'll get in touch with KL support.

On a side note, I received another email from KL support the other day regarding PC Speed-Up details. They told me that more PC Speed-Up details could be provided in future versions of Kaspersky if KL support gets more suggestions for improving  PC Speed-Up by making it more transparent and usable. So, I think, it is probably up to us KL users to get in touch with KL support and tell them what we would like to see in future versions of our Kaspersky apps.
