'Report' page column is not saving or updating anymore which includes detailed information regarding viruses scan like 'full/quick/path file or external devices'. Not sure yet about background/rootkit scan since last time it happened was at 3 a.m. And going to wait untill it start 24 hours after.

This similar bug happen to occur last month around May 12th and took more than 9 days to Kaspersky acknowledge that existing issue. And I was still studying that proccess and symptoms and wait so others could report this as well. Although back then that bug was only affecting 'background/rootkit scan'.

But this happening out of the blue again but instead got to affect all type of scans on report page is one thing to get me annoyed. So I'm making this report as fast as I can so it get fixed as soon as possible.

Last known scan was save and it happen to be 18 hours ago and the update pulled a search for at 1:39 a.m. of 06/10. Then at the same day on 7:00 p.m. this bug started. Any action I'd initiate like viruses scans were not properly being saved at report page.

Ok...seems like is only affecting 'quick/full scans'. Ran another 'selective scan' or path file and it did save on report page.

Hello @Psiu47

Welcome back!

  1. Do you have an example of how the Report is when the problem does not exist?
  2. When this *similar* issue happened - that (you) observed around 12th May 2024, was a topic raised by (you), we cannot find any? OR perhaps (you) escalated it to Kaspersky?
  3. *IF* the report was logging *path* for Quick, Full, Background etc - potentially there could be thousands of paths in the report...
  • Our Background & Quick scan from the 11th of June 2024 or the 15th of May 2024:

There were no discussion I've posted last month. What happened actually for 9 days aprox. at May 12th  'rootkit/background scans' were not saving in the full report page like other scans. So with my old habit everytime these scans were about to happen I've kept tracked the time would start accordingly to my clock and when they would stop by checking how many minutes the last background/rootkit finished. And made a log everyday on notepad. That is how I've managed to keep tracking these scans since there bugging for no reason.

And I've thought Kaspersky might be aware, collecting information gathered from their client base to figure out what issue is and get resolved as soon as possible. So I would not bother with another topic about an issue as this since unknown bugs are always related to updates and changes and since KS is set to update daily by automatic. Is an unknown ground which updated blew this off.

Yesterday, I've noticed a similar symptom happening when I'd execute a 'quick scan' and when went to check 'full report page', there were no log about that 'quick scan' and the last detail was from another scan.

So I have booted the computer and then I've started running path selected, or 'selective scans', 'quick scan' once more and somehow managed to save these reports at 'full report page'.

At late last night after several searches and automatic database updates. What I have noticed is at 10:02 p.m. all scans/verifications I have started were being stored at 'full report page'.

I may have antecipated with no further study and conclusion which gets a wrong image about my presence. So anyhow, it seems like is back to normal by sort of and if the next it happens another bug. I'll wait a day or two before spreading anything at the forum.

My apologies for unwary discussion I should have gathered more information before posting this.

Apologize once again but this report should not be clarified as closed since this abnormal symptom with report window not registering rootkit or quick/complete scans still happening even with Kaspersky Standard 21.18.5.438(a). I can't record properly this bug because there are moments the scan will be registered and displayed and sometimes not. Ever since Kaspersky Standard 21.17.7.539 which I have firstly see happening on May untill September with actual version KS 21.18.5.438(a) this unknown behavior have been going and the company should be aware of it.

Whenever I execute these scans if I don't keep report window opened, there is a chance the task is not being saved and registered with full detail on report window so with my last studies about this bug. Having opened and minimzed report window whenever scans are about to finish. The task will display as they are ongoing but at the end when is over. The scan is saved, being registered and display but if I close report window or click to update there is a %60 of chance that task will not be registered or displayed on report window.

I'm annoyed to know that I have been facing this bug for a while and I would like revive the situation regarding this unknown bug which started at May 9th accordingly to my first post.

Hey there again fellas from Kaspersky forum. It have been quite a while I was resisting to use Kaspersky Standard 21.18.5.438(a) and by then there have been bugs it were annoying me for months and the thoughts about the programming staff be willing to fix them were being left aside. I had to push my attempts to fix the problem by myself. Relieved I am by today as the unknown bugs were resolved, there have been few more problems I'm highlighting here.

Went to My Kaspersky and downloaded once more KS installer. I've tried repairing the installation but no effects and bugs were still occurring. Then I pushed forward to uninstall the whole antivirus program and putt to install from scratch.

After two consecutive OS restarts, the quick mouse action got back to normal. KSN / virus scan are displaying as should and seems to bug on report page are no longer disappearing. However this kaspersky4win202121.19.7.527pt_46480.exe installer is a differnt version which I've noticed later. So what was the deal for using Kaspersky Standard 21.18.5.438(a) before?

Other observations I've noticed is that the interface for KS 21.19.7.527(a) is somehow mixed with a gray color bar on the left that makes the reading on the right side be harder to focus. Tried to change the interface between simple and Operating System match but made no any impact at all.

Is the company looking forward to fix this color layout? Other question why is Kaspersky Protection extension on Google Chrome 130.0.6723.117 browser not popping the indexed information KSN window when I move mouse cursor onto those green K icons? They work as intended on Microsoft Edge but on Google Chrome they won't.

Hello @Psiu47,

Welcome back!

  1. For (your) own privacy & security please hide all personal information before posting to any public forum. With all bugs (you're) finding do not assume the Kaspersky 'programming staff' somehow magically know about them & will fix them; please follow the correct process & log incident requests with Kaspersky Customer Service so the issues are registered in the Kaspersky system & allocated to the expert Kaspersky teams; you can also make posts in the Forum but please include the logging of the issues into (your) process.
  2. We don't know which "bugs" (you're) referring to - they're not discussed anywhere in this topic & our recommended process is a clean install always which (you've) eventually done, successfully - which, without seeing historical data from your machine implies there was a problem with the previous installation.
  3. Again, no idea what "quick mouse action got back to normal" refers to, it's not discussed anywhere in this topic, but it's clearly fixed.
  4. Ok. fixed.
  5. Don't understand this question, please provide more information?
  6. This has been complained about by a multitude of Kaspersky users, our observation so far is Kaspersky has not shown any indication that they're willing to change it, nor have they explained why they've designed it as they have; they are aware it impacts people with vision issues. In Interface settings there's Design theme, with Dark option, it still has the two different colours but may be more comfortable (for reading/focus)?
  7. This is a known issue, currently in hand with @Mikhail Shakhov, please read: URL Adviser / URL Advisor not working (green icons missing in searchg results)

Thank you🙏

Hello to all,

Regarding 7. This is the bug 8024645 and it has already been fixed. Please use this version of Kaspersky Protection plugin:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kaspersky-protection/ahkjpbeeocnddjkakilopmfdlnjdpcdm

Thank you.

P.S. You need to remove old version of plugin, if it is installed and install the version using the link above.

Thanks for the moderator for blurring my credentials at the imagem provided. I would like ask If is possible to delete the images posted at June 10th and November 12th to make clear It was accidental error for posting the whole screen. Since I can no longer edit and delete these screenshots.

Sorry for taking too long to return with an answer. I haver out of circulation and had no power, internet at home for several days due to a power blackout.

@Flood and Flood's wife

Hello againg mate, thank you once more for sharing your thoughts. I have in the past briefing and detailing unknown issues such as bugs back Kaspersky Standard old versions hoping to verify they would have been happenning to others. I really thought due to data updates were being released, they could aswell caused unknown symptoms such as I described back when  I had in possess  KS 21.18 / 21.17 versions. When I gave tô use KS 21.18 due to few visual annoying bugs such as data disappearing in report scans page, and the others I don't remember anymore.

About the information you gathered about Google Chrome Kaspersky Protection extension is that I've kept installed and enabled before I had uninstalled KS 21.18. Within KS 21.19 installation is It still possible to re install Kaspersky Protection to repair the extension that have been carried on since Kaspersky Internet Security 20.3?

@Mikhail Shakhov

Thanks mate when I make time back at my house and I will look into It. Untill then need to save power for my cellphone since I've cut out.

Thanks for highlighting this.

Hello @Psiu47

You're most welcome!

Thank you for posting back!

  1. As far as we understand - you're no longer using Kaspersky Internet Security -> (you bit the bullet) & upgraded to Kaspersky Standard
  2. In chrome://extensions/ *REMOVE* the existing Kaspersky Protection extension (KPE), before installing the *new* KPE Version 2.11.123.1https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/kaspersky-protection/ahkjpbeeocnddjkakilopmfdlnjdpcdm  image.thumb.png.ec36c49aa5b09ddb74549cfb9e2dfe7d.png
