  1. After about 12 hours Kaspersky Security Center MMC Error.cmd appeared in HIP settings search menu and I was able to add it to trusted group. It should launch Kaspersky Security Center 11.msc. Then I couldn't launch Kaspersky Security Center 11.msc even directly or find it in HIP settings search menu. I sew the same error message as with Kaspersky Security Center MMC Error.cmd. And again I couldn't find Kaspersky Security Center 11.msc in HIP settings search menu but could find it on clients workstation in HIP Untrusted group and add it to Trusted group after disabling policy. Problem was solved adding additional Inventory task. It should be cleared-out for users that this task is needed HIP functionality to fully work.
  2. Hello @Alex586, Welcome! Does the keyboard “tooltip” happen irrespective of browser used? Is the keyboard “tooltip” generated by KTS? Is any Password Manager software in use? Is KTS SafeMoney browser used when the keyboard “tooltip” happens? May I have an image please? Have any configuration changes been made to Secure Data Input Settings: Please let me know? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳
  3. Hello, When I put a password on an website, a tooltip about the keyboard is displayed. Is it possible to disable the popup without disable the keyboard protection ? I have KTS 2020. Thank you :)
  4. Hi Flood Thanks for your quick reply. Win10 version & build? (select Windows 🔎 Search, type winver press enter, the popup will display the information) 1909 (Build 18363.628) KSK license & version ? Premium, 1.0.5.1360 Has a KSK/system requirements check been done? yes Is “after entering the password & pressing enter, the screen goes black” a new problem or has always existed? It is a new problem. It doesn’t happen with each login, only about each 2nd. It does not happen if I de-install KSK. It re-appears if I re-install KSK. Have you deleted & recreated your son’s Windows profile & rechecked? yes. If a “dummy” child profile is created, at login, after entering the password & pressing enter, does the screen black ? Not tested. What would be the difference between a real profile and a dummy profile? Has KSK been uninstalled & reinstalled? yes. Any idea? best Slooti
  5. Welcome. What object or file is detected? What is the location of the detected file? Please post the full, complete detection details. Full file name, full path, full location, detection verdict. Post screenshot of Reports > Detailed reports > Detected objects. Main Kaspersky window > More Tools > Reports > upper right > Detailed reports > at the upper left, drop down from All Events to Detected objects. How to take and post screenshot: https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/492 PrtSc (Print screen) key (upper right part of keyboard)> open Paint (Start > All programs > Accessories) > Edit > Paste, File > Save as (jpeg or png, Not bmp). 6. Will it work? Do you plan to launch a newer version of KSE? Do you plan to do a compliance test with KSE 9.5.153 and MSSQL Server 2019 (and later versions) and update support article https://support.kaspersky.com/kse9#requirements.block0? I guess that Microsoft will continue to launch new MSSQL versions.
  7. I have a very similar problem. MBP 2018, Catalina 10.15.2. I’m new to Kaspersky, and contemplating requesting a refund. I use my laptop for work. If I put it to sleep for a couple of days due to the weekend, I plug in the power and open it, the system is nearly completely unresponsive, as if it’s crash. Tap the keyboard, press the power button, it just won’t wake. What barely “works” for me is to unplug the power, press the power button several times, tap on the keyboard, etc - and eventually if I’m lucky the mouse will appear on the black screen. Plug in the power, wait a little bit, tap on the keyboard, and again if I’m lucky, it will finally go to the login screen. After logging in, however - most of my applications act as if I don’t have an internet connection. Browser tabs won’t open, messaging apps are stuck at ‘connecting’. Turn off wifi, turn it on, close then re-open applications - nothing. I eventually wind up rebooting the laptop, which restores everything to service. I would be hard-pressed to call this a solution. The other issue I have, which is merely a frustration, is that a full scan completely consumes four of the six processor cores on the machine, and there is no clear way to reign it in - no way to ‘nice’ the process or limit it to going full bore only when the computer is idle, as other applications routinely do. I had previously tried the free version of Kaspersky, and had similar problems. I then tried Bitdefender, which did not have these problems, but for some reason or another I decided to try the purchased Kaspersky product. I’m regretting it.
  8. Many thanks for your reply. I checked the system in the system configuration and dicovered that it das RAID0 and not RAID1 as I mentioned. I used your custom KRD and the "Tools" button (left to "Quarantine") was visible and active, so I could run the "USB Recover Tool" that eliminated Kaspersky drivers from 3 registry entries. After restarting the PC (without KRD) I was able to login to windows as the keboard was now enabled. No problems with RAID. So the keyboard problem is solved now :-). Now I run into the next problem as my home network is not visible anymore and I cannot connect to the internet. So I rolled back the KTS changes using the kavremover utility. After restarting the PC I still could not reach or restore the home network using windows tools. As the next step I moved all oem*.inf files containing the word "Kaspersky" together with their corresponding *.pnf file from "C:\Windows\INF" to another directoy and restarted windows. But there is still no network and no internet connection. Because everything worked well before installing KTS, it seems that the kavremover utility has not rolled back everything. What could I do to restore the network functionality as it was? I'll send you the traces in the next step.
  9. Thanks, @FLOOD for your trouble. My first primary issue was with KPM using Edge as default and not Firefox. This has been resolved. I’ll just wait awhile for the official KTS add-on for Chromium Edge, which isn’t my default browser anyway. Thanks again. Your quick responses to my queries is precisely why I continue to use and recommend Kaspersky products to everyone.
  10. You can rollback KTS changes by kavremover utility https://support.kaspersky.com/common/uninstall/1464. But you can’t login and accordingly you can’t run kavremover. You can restore keyboard by KRD https://support.kaspersky.com/14221. But KRD don’t support your RAID. Please try this custom KRD http://devbuilds.kaspersky-labs.com/KRD/2018/isw/krd_isw.iso. Run KRD with “trace” parameter https://support.kaspersky.com/14223 and send traces anyway.
  11. RAID1 was preinstalled by Dell. I never touched it. My problem is that the keyboard was disabled during the KTS installation and I cannot login to Windows. Is it possible to delete the KTS entries from registry and rollback the changes made by KTS during its installation?
  12. Hi, I am expecting a similar problem after un incomplete installation of Kaspersky Total Security 2019: the keyboard is disabled in the Windows login screen so I cannot login and start Windows. When using Kaspersky Rescue Disk 18 the keyboard works but there is no button "Tools" and I found no way to start the USB Recover tool. How could I fix this in order to restore the functioning of the keyboard? Many thanks for your reply.
  13. I run Windows 10 Home version 1909 OS Build 18363.592. I’ve just downloaded and installed the NEW Microsoft Edge (based on Chromium, but not called Chromium Edge). Running Safe Money through Safe Money window, and it still reverts to Internet Explorer 11. I did some web forum searches, and even on this forum, going back to at least 2017, the problem of Safe Money running through IE was evident, with no clear solution. So, either MS won’t allow it or Kaspersky have not resolved it. However, based on the following:- “Microsoft Edge browser is not supported on Microsoft Windows 10 operational systems later than version 1803” “With the update to version 21.х.х.х, Kaspersky programs will stop supporting Microsoft Edge in the following components: Safe Money Protection for data entered on the computer keyboard” Considering that Edge/New Edge are the default Browsers of Windows, and my purchase of KIS was based partly on the fact that it was designed to run in a Windows environment, I am pretty annoyed with Kaspersky. Note1, when KIS has an issue starting any browser the user may have configured, it reverts to the system default browser, atm, (for you) is IE the system default browser? Note2, if you haven’t done so already, please run a KIS software compatability check? Re Note 1 Is the ‘system default browser’ different to the default app choice browser in settings? Sorry, not too technically minded! Re Note 2 from the list of incompatibles, there are only 2 listed that I can note: Windows Defender (but that is now superceded by KIS, and ‘Update for Windows’ - I have Windows 10 Update Assistant on the system. Beyond this, and pending going to Technical Support as you advise, which I can’t do now, I am at a loss. But, I know I am not the first to have this problem. Thanks
  14. Hello @shaunm1963, Welcome back! The advice from Kaspersky is confusing😖 , atm, they say: Limitations in Kaspersky programs version 20.х.х.х The Microsoft Edge browser is not supported on Microsoft Windows 10 operational systems later than version 1803 (RS4). Limitations in Kaspersky programs version 21.х.х.х With the update to version 21.х.х.х, Kaspersky programs will stop supporting Microsoft Edge in the following components: Safe Money Protection for data entered on the computer keyboard However, as we’ve already established, from Kaspersky communications and from posters, e.g. @Ylive- Kaspersky employee, Kaspersky will be supporting Chromium Edge🤔 Generally regarding "Website opened in another Protected Browser" message when opening Safe Money in Microsoft Edge” Specifically, regarding “Failed to run Protected Browser. Reason: Unexpected error starting Protected Browser. Error code: 0x80000046.” ➡ Please contact Technical Support, they will need a GSi & Windows Logs, and may need traces, run as the issue is replicated, they will guide you with the traces collection. Please let us know their solution when it’s available? Note1, when KIS has an issue starting any browser the user may have configured, it reverts to the system default browser, atm, (for you) is IE the system default browser? Note2, if you haven’t done so already, please run a KIS software compatability check? Please let me know? Thank you🙏
  15. Thanks for a quick and positive reply, I did try this before but I don’t understand the 2 user accounts, why have I gone from a single to a 2 user Account. Steve
  16. Hello, We have a KSC 10 on a Windows 2008 server with SQL Express 2008. KES 10 and KSWS 10.0 are installed on the computers. We would like to migrate to KSC 11 but on a different machine with a new SQL Express for example Windows Server 2016 and SQL Express 2016. Then next step would be to move the KES 10 to KES 11 and KSWS 10.0 to KSWS 10.1. My question is how can I achieve that? I have seen that it is possible using multiple ways but I would like to know which is the best one and how best to do it? The ways that I have thought of are: 1: Install a new Windows Server 2016 with new SQL and Install KSC 11 on this one. Create all the necessary strategies such as KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 and then run the task “Change Management Server” on the KSC 10. Then launch the installation of KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 on the machines. 2: Do a backup and then restore it on the new machine and then update the strategies and tasks. If someone else has any other advice or ways on how can I achieve it, It would be really helpful. I need to start on next monday so its really urgent. Thank you in advance for your help.
  17. Hello @JanezJ , Thank you for the quick reply and the comprehensive information👏! Regarding the licenses, that’s perfectly fine, from the topic detail, it sounded as if you may have been using Kaspersky commercial software, it’s good it’s licensed as Kaspersky free software has configuration limitations & no Technical Support, which would make this harder to solve, all good👌 Have you tried adding exclusions for the blocked network path🤔 Please let me know? Thank you🙏 Additionally: if the Community cannot solve this, it would be a good idea to request help from Kaspersky Technical Support, they will need GSI & Windows Logs, as more than one operating system is involved, run the GSI tool for both systems, & they may need Traces, they will guide you to collect these if needed. After you submit the request, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12 digits reference #, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Lab human🕵 will contact you, also by email, you may continue to communicate with them via reply email & or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky.com account.
  18. Hi Flood, thank you for the quick answer. There are different OSs- win 7 and win 10, build 1909. Same problem on both OS. Kaspersky anti-Virus 20.0.14.1085 YES. We have a couple of licenses. NO It is a custom application. We have an application server, SQL database. We just copy shortcuts from app server to the client computer. Please see attached picture We bought licenses from the official dealer, but it seems that licenses are home edition. Best regards! J
  19. Hello, This is a solution from Special_K on the french topic : The application categories are defined via the Kaspersky Security Network, regardless of their origin: https://help.kaspersky.com/KESMob/10SP4MR3/fr-FR/111293.htm In your scenario, blocking the "Games" category via the Application Control module should prevent the launch of a game from the Galaxy Store. In the event that an application is not listed within a given category, I invite you to submit a request to our Technical Support: https://companyaccount.kaspersky.com
  20. ello @releone, I must say, your English is much better than my Italian😉 , allow me to reply in English please - the fan on my laptop is dying, I'm doing all my work in 15 minute bursts. ➡ You have version 20.0.14.1085, bravo👏 How to find Kaspersky software name, version & patch, there’s several methods: [a] Open KIS, select 🎧Headset🎧 bottom left hand corner of application = Support window, shows: Operating system name, version & build, Database release date & time, KIS version & patch(x). [b] Windows Taskbar, hover 🐀mouse🐀over the Kaspersky shield, a tiny popup window displays: Kaspersky software name, version, patch(x), Databases release date & time. [c] Windows Taskbar, right click Kaspersky shield, select About, popup window shows Kaspersky software name, version & patch(x). [d] To revert to red & black shield, open [c] About window, on the ⌨ keyboard⌨ type keys: IDDQD Reboot the computer to apply the change. [e] USB scan, Esamina solo la root. Scan root folder only. This is entirely personal choice, it also depends on the backup size, time to run the scan, and if you're confident the contents of the drive (other than root) are completely clean. I've lost count of the times people I've helped say: "I lent my USB to a friend, he/she gave it back, now my computer is full of ransomware, malware, etc., etc.” (imo), if you do not know how “healthy” the contents of the USB are, first, always, do a Full scan, once you are 100% confident, any followup scans can be selecetd according to your requirements. Another ‘tip”, in all Kaspersky software applications, every window has a ❔ in the top right hand corner of the screen, (see image above ❔ circled red), selecting any ❔ will open a browser to a Kaspersky "Help" document, specific to the application screen. Please post back if there’s anything more I can do to help? Thank you🙏
  21. Thank you for that info! In that case please provide us with KES traces collected during update. To do so please start KES traces and then launch update task. Please make sure that *HST* file is created. Please provide us with full set of trace files.

  23. Hello @FLOOD , Thank you for your help, thankfully techinal support still trying to solve it and I am glad they are really trying :) I will share GSI files here any idea is welcomed as it can be something too small, like a command it is keep Rolling, I don’t know much about scripting so anything may small for you, may important detail for me missing. -A little detail just a little when that thing forces my pc to close, even pc closed it keeps working for a while, after few times doing that I got mad and closed it from the button when I turned back on, Windows started repairing itself- Well the thing is I tried the methods written at down -tried video capturing but however it endup not geting saved -Reseting computer and keeping files doesn’t solve -It is not from macro programs -It happened even when opera isn’t installed -It is not like emergency shutdown when cpu or gpu heat up -it is more like timed program things I think, it is looking like one of them because it is forcing pc to shutdown I see the “shutting down” letter on screen also it doesn’t let me write anything like i can’t do “shutdown -a” it lock my keyboard somehow

Kaspersky protection Chrome plugin mess [Closed]

Hello @Nikiangel, ⚠ Regarding "why it is grey, why it doesn’t show how many things it blocked on the site, and why it doesn’t show the options private browsing, anti banner, onscreen keyboard when clicked", Kaspersky Protection Extension (KPE) is not working⚠ 🅰For KPE, there should never be multiple extensions/addons. 🅱 Is there a reason you're using KIS19? Your Topic is similar to Ladybeetle’s except, (for you), KPE is not working in multiple browsers, (imo), the best way to resolve this is as follows: 1Windows: C:\Windows\Temp delete everything in Temp, there may be a few files/folders requesting “Admin permission”, grant the permission, & there may be a few files/folders “In use”, select Skip. C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp delete everything in Temp, there may be a few files/folders requesting “Admin permission”, grant the permission, & there may be a few files/folders “In use”, select Skip. 2Chrome C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ copy folder Default to the Desktop. chrome://settings/reset run Chrome Reset & Cleanup - allow it to complete. Close Chrome, do not reopen atm. Windows, Programs & Features, uninstall Chrome. 3KIS - 1 Tools, Clean & Optimize, run Privacy Wizard, select all recommended and strongly recommended actions - allow the Privacy Wizard to complete. Windows, Programs & Features, uninstall KIS, save License information only Shutdown computer using full Shutdown, not Restart. Restart computer, login 4 KIS - 2 Download new KIS, apart from using a browser to download KIS do not have any browsers open atm. Install & configure KIS. Run KIS manual Database update - allow it to complete. Run KIS manual Full scan - allow it to complete. Open Chrome brower, check KPE version & colour? Open IE browser, check KPE version & colour? ❓ If Chrome / IE KPE grey problem persists😥 , let me know please? ❔ If Chrome/IE problem resolves👍, please let me know? Alternative to the above, if KIS is licensed, you may wish to contact Kaspersky Techical Support, the Support team will request a GSI & Windows Logs, images, full history & may request Traces run as the issue is replicated, they will guide you with the necessary steps. After the issue is logged you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digit reference number, you may continue to communicate with the Kaspersky Technical Team via reply email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account. Thank you🙏
  25. Maybe...and that’s one big MAYBE, what’s happening is that version 30 ?!? coming with Kaspersky internet security 20 ?!?, as for IE it’s the same gray Kaspersky shield gives these details: Name: Kaspersky Protection Publisher: Kaspersky Lab Type: Browser Helper Object Architecture: 32-bit and 64-bit Version: 30.253.92.0 File date: ‎Today, ‎January ‎8, ‎2020, ‏‎2 hours ago Date last accessed: ‎Today, ‎January ‎8, ‎2020, ‏‎2 minutes ago Class ID: Use count: 3 Block count: 1 File: ie_plugin.dll Folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 20.0\x64\ieext However, why it is grey, why it doesn’t show how many things it blocked on the site, and why it doesn’t show the options private browsing, anti banner, onscreen keyboard when clicked, remains a mystery for me, and most likely for most of your customers. And another update from me, removed from chrome the version 30 and version 4...and disabled version 20. It seems I get the same functionality and protection like if the plugin is enabled (at least the banners and spam advertisements are missing, compared to another PC without Kaspersky) I can personally call it a good functionality, probably provided by KIS itself, but then do we need Kaspersky Protection plugin at all? You should agree it’s a mess.
