Should it be enabled for better security or disabled? How much does it increase the security? Also how much does it affect the performance - does it affect only startup times? I do use SSD, so would the difference be small? Please answer here with a proper explanation, thanks!

Hello, My Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 is due to expire in 18 days, and on my computer how this happened I don’t know, but it upgraded to some components of 2020 and I tried to uninstall and go back to 2019 and it didn’t return to the whole 2019 version. I did have it set so that it wouldn’t install to next version, and on my husband computer it is still the 2019 version. Is there anyway of going back to the 2019 version so that I can complete the use of it? Also how do I prevent Kaspersky Internet Security 2020 from uploading automatically to the 2021 version? Is this supposed to be like it? First of all I want to assure you I do not have any active malware that would try to open anything - you can test it out yourself. I for exampe just search a dangerous site and Kaspersky instantly blocks it without opening. Does it mean something tried to load, or is it just some sort of “prevention”? Because if something did try to load, I find it strange, since I didnt open anything. This happens in google search. I also recently used Google Images and found it strange that the same sort of warning came out(about phising) when clicking on(increasing size) image, but without going on the site. My site is being labeled a phishing site by Kaspersky . I have scanned the site with virustotal and only Kaspersky flags the site as a phishing link. Can I get my site removed from the phishing list, thank in advance.

I have been running KIS 2019 with the ‘Do not download new versions automatically and do not notify me when new versions are available' setting under 'New application versions' (Settings - Additional - Update). Today KIS 2019 upgraded to KIS 2020 without any action on my part. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Also in KIS 2020 the ‘New applications versions’ option is no longer visible. Has Kaspersky eliminated the option for users to stop the automatic update to a new version? Best regards.

As per the topic, what if the browser has a zero day vulnerability that is being exploited ? How does Kaspersky handle that situation. It appears that even with Safe Money being activated, the computer would still be compromised. Anyone have more to add ?

Though Private browsing and Anti banner is enabled while working in browser It keeps on refreshing and almost becomes impossible to work. Even some time if I try to write something in note pad it automatically keep on writing something in notepad mostly the current date of the system. The screen keeps on flickering during this attack and can’t work at all This goes around for around 1 minute and then again becomes stable. Surprisingly it never happens when I work on Kaspersky website

I have just had this problem pop up. I acnnot play my game as it says error code 4 server unavailble. I did some research and everyuthing says its my Kaspersky. I have found that it was sent to low restrictred. I have trusted it and allowed it access etc and still when i load it changes in the application activity to digital signal missing. Hi there, Just installed your application, and enjoying it so far. When I opened Mozilla for the first time after installation, some Kaspersky popups came up and I most definitely accidentally clicked on some things before reading, adjusting some kind of settings. Now, any and all pages I go to on Mozilla give me errors that my the connection to such and such website is not secure, tried on basic sites like Google. Mozilla is not my primary browser but as such I cannot use it. How can I fix? Even a basic reset of Kaspersky settings might solve the issue. Best, -James

When Kaspersky Internet Security is enabled, all applications except for my browser and email client break (they either notify the lack of an internet connection or keep “running into trouble” – e.g. MS Teams). Any hints? Honestly, the setup is very poor, it should guide through such setup.

Kaspersky asked me autorization to update dropbox. I have accepted. However the installation did not go well (failed with no explanation). Now the situation is the following : 1) no dropbox in place, (file dropbox.exe deleted) 2) I cannot install dropbox; I have downloaded the dropbox install program but it refuses to run even when run as administrator. 3) I cannot uninstall dropbox as no longer existing ... I even uninstalled kaspersky and reied again to run dropbox install ... no success. Did someone experinced the same ? Bernard

Hi. Kaspersky Internet Security did not inform me that it’s File Anti-Virus subsystem was making an interference in the installation of Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.0.20-137117. I’m talking about the Notification and Logging (Reports) subsystems. I’m not talking about the File Anti-Virus subsystem. (Whether my setup was problematic, or VirtualBox did it non-standard, or Kaspersky File Anti-Virus made a wrong interference, can be target of another discussion. For the record, I tested disabling Kaspersky File Anti-Virus thanks to a VirtualBox forum user who noted his experience with a McAfee file anti-virus!) I used Windows defender (antivirus) and account was not Admin - it was user account without any system permissions. I am surprised, I expected that user’s account can’t raise permission for virus for encryption files... So I contacted with other antivirus vendors and all of them tell me, that files can’t be decrypted, because private key needed. I contacted with hacker his email [removed] and he offered me pay 3000 USB by BTC, but due one day he decreased price to 1500 USD ) I am not Kaspersky customer…
