Based on Shay's post above I am 99.9% sure that Kaspersky is just re-marketing their Endpoint for Linux workstation kit for home users. Two years ago I determined how to install Endpoint and purchased a license from Laptops with Linux. I am surprised that Kaspersky didn't simplify installation and provide a GUI like their products for Windows but I guess that is more difficult and will take more time.

tbh, this is a big screw up on your part. only people remaining on PC platform are power users and gamers (which you can also consider to be a power user cuz apparently you are somehow genius if you can use keyboard in 2026). with many of the non-kernel mode games (which is 99.99% of them btw) being supported on linux, you can pretty much assume there is going to be a considerable migration. (this shows 74% of games on steam, platinum+gold, are playable) with (a) microsoft shoving ai-bloat and (b) a mandatory os release with vibe-coded start menu which takes literal seconds to load and file explorer which is preloaded during boot cuz it takes minutes to initialize, their userbase has become too much alienated that linux desktop users have almost tripled since 2025. now, every 1 in 20 person uses linux desktop all over the world. coming to a VPN service, there are 3 things a user expects from a VPN service: privacy: although this is a total bullcrap, most users expect anonymity on their service. avoiding georestrictions: they want to watch/listen etc. things otherwise blocked on their country by service provider. avoiding government restrictions: they want to evade their governments' very-carefully-thought-and-considered™ restrictions. now, look at "privacy" above and think again. cuz "privacy" starts with "deleting windows" first. now that my rant is over, i want to ask a couple of questions for the sake of other fellow linux users here: is this decision (not supporting wireguard or openvpn) going to be permanent? do you plan to get this feature back? if not, do you plan to release at least a browser extension like other sensible vpn service providers (preferably on firefox, or on its engine, cuz chrome is as good as windows, which wraps up to being as bad as it)? thank you in advance.

Ich beziehe mich hier auf die Bilder in deinem ersten Post. Bild 1: Geöffneter, entsperrter KPM > Masterkennwort ändern.. Bild 2: Dieses Fenster dürfte erscheinen nach Klick auf Masterkennwort ändern. s.o. Hier, im Bild, wird nicht nach dem aktuellen Masterkennwort " Kölle-Alaaf 123 " gefragt. (Weil KPM bereits entsperrt ist? ) Zwei Felder, "Kennwort" und "Kennwort bestätigen" Hier würde ich dann jeweils "Düsseldorf=No GO" eingeben. ( Ich hoffe diese Kennwörter sind nicht die, um die es real geht... 😁)

Moin Wenn du mit "Login" das Entsperren des KPM beim Starten / Öffnen des Programms meinst, dann ja, das ist das "Masterkennwort". Jep, ich galube ich habe es kapiert.

@Flood and Flood's wife Thanks again for your reply, comments noted and appreciated. Yes, I agree, it is freakin' bizarre alright! I'd also tried turning off the uninstall protection and turning off the app, but that did absolutely nothing! This morning, I keep getting to the part where it asks for my password and then gives me a popup asking if I'm sure I want to delete the app... but when I click 'yes', it just gives the "please wait" message and the spinning wheel that spins forever and a day. I left it spinning for another 30 minutes earlier to see if it was actually doing anything, but gave up! I will take your advice and complete the form, and then embark upon what I suspect (but hope not!) will be a back-and-forth conversation with them offering me various links and instructions that I've already tried but don't work! Here's hoping I'm wrong...! 🙏

@Tschekker ich glaube hier liegt ein Kommunikationsproblem vor. Ist das Masterkennwort identisch mit dem Kennwort für den Login ?

I have the same problem in Yemen In order to run Kaspersky VPN, first I have to run Another VPN then I can connect Kaspersky VPN. It's complicated process but it is the only solution in Yemen. Kaspersky support team needs to check this issue for Yemen users and fix it ASAP Thanks and regards

KSK is no longer distributed via GooglePlayStore, please read: How to download Kaspersky apps on Android and iOS, Kaspersky Safe Kids. IF our original solution had worked we'd have provided it & IF we had a 'faster' solution - we'd have posted it, sadly, on this occasion, despite hours of trying we were unable to make any progress - it really should be a simple process. We've just revisited it, spent another two hours, it's hopeless... We can & have turned OFF Uninstallation protection - requires password to be entered We can & have turned OFF the app - requires password to be entered but that's it, entering the password to initiate Uninstall the app does diddly-squat, it's freakin bizarre. IF (you) want KSK OFF (your) phone please contact Kaspersky Customer Service. BTW, it takes no time to log a request & get it into the Kaspersky system, the sooner it's in there the sooner (you'll) get service. Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available? The Kaspersky email address was entered incorrectly and sent to *****@*****.tld, resulting in the activation code not reaching the correct email address. I registered using this website: www.lapcom.com.hk/registration
