The official policy is no links to live malware and if you want something checked, you can use the two different free scanners Kaspersky offers, the Kaspersky File Scanner (1mb limit) and the Kaspersky Online Scanner, both of which you can find here. The online scanner will not remove viruses, but will give you the location of it for you to delete manually.
If you do find something then please send the detected items to the lab before deleting. Simply do it one of these ways: 1. Via this submission form: http://support.kaspersky.ru/virlab/helpdesk.html?LANG=en, this gives you the option of reporting false positives, reporting new malicious files which is not detected yet or reporting programs, this could be what is suspected to be roque programs, fake anti-viruses etc. 2. Via mail: A. Put the suspected virus in a password-protected zip or rar file. B. Compose an email message (only short description) and attach the zip file. C. Include the password in the body/subject of the email. If you suspect a false positive, then include "Possible false positive" in the subjectline. D. Send the zip/rar file to newvirus@kaspersky.com -------------------- |
