Greetings.

 

Yesterday just before going to sleep i was surprised with a strange Pop-up from Kaspersky, it said my antivirus wasn't activated and that my protection was disabled. It was odd since my signature will last until october. A quick look made me realize that after a update, the antivirus just expelled my activation key and downgraded back to Kaspersky Free.

 

I entered my account and had to manually disconnect my computer so i could install once again in the same computer. I'm wondering if this will be a recurring problem, because most of the time I ignore all the annoying pop-ups of Kaspersky, but luckily this time i paid attention since the colors had change from the ones i used to see.

 

PS: Second problem, if you have time: How do i get hid of all the annoying pop-ups that Kaspersky seems to be throwing at me? I know about the configurations inside the program, but i only have the system ones activated, all the others about promotions and news are disabled, but i still get a lot of irritating pop-ups every now and then, even when I'm in fullscreen. I remember Kaspersky being all quiet in the computer back in the day, but now it seems that more and more irrelevant pop-ups are appearing on the screen.

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

 

Paid version of K. is very silent here, as You can guess and expect KFree it isn't, in KPremium there are these Settings -> Interface Settings -> Notifications:

Also, in Settings -> Performance Settigs there are these ones:

Indeed there are a lot of settings to notifications. However i went through all of them twice and couldn't find options to disable the "Your file extensions are not showing" or "Want to try a new VPN" even though i alaready turned almost everything off in notification settings.

 

Unfortunately Disturb Mode is "automatic" or requires manuallly turning on every 4 hours, no option to enable it indefinitely.

In Kaspersky Free product, You can't disable those notifications, as You can guess, it's free, it's the price to pay to use free product, You will get notifications to get the paid one.

I'm sorry, i guess english is not the first language for both of us. What i meant to say in this thread is: KASPERSKY just NUKED my PAID program after a random update. i had to MANUALLY reinstall my PAID kaspersky in order to make it work again. I am NOT using a FREE version, i am using a PAID version, which will last until october. I was just wondering if this will start to happen regularly, because if it is, i'll change my antivirus to another one from a different company.

No kidding sherlock. My problem is precisely that i can't disable EVEN WITH PAID VERSION. My kaspersky just won't stop sending me USELESS pop-ups even though i have the PAID version and already have disable all i can in the notification settings.

  1. Read: Do not Disturb Mode: "If this check box is selected, Kaspersky application does not display notifications about events that occur during video calls, when watching videos, when working with applications, or using the keyboard. Do not Disturb Mode can also pause some automatically started tasks or delay running scheduled tasks to avoid excessive utilization of computer resources."
  2. Check Interface Settings, Configure Notifications -> Notify on screen
  3. Navigate to File Explorer, click the "View" tab, and check or uncheck the box for "Show file name extensions".
  4. Check in Windows, Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections, is there a LAC, Kaspersky VPN? IF 'yes' uninstall it then shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power ON by pressing the power-button, login, recheck the VPN alert? IF it OR any other issues persist & (you're) confident (you've) installed & configured the software correctly, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts - select either Email or Chat, then fill in the template as shown; include a *detailed history*; Support may request logs, GSI, traces captured while the problem is replicated & other data; they will guide you.     
  5. Is Kaspersky VPN in Windows notifications & actions - after - the uninstall?   6. *BEFORE* contacting support - make sure Windows OS / build is up-to-date, with no Beta, Canary, Development & OR Insider Build installed & the Kaspersky Standard version is  21.21.7.384.0.23.0 ->  https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product
  • *Also* -> IF using Chat - a copy of the chat transcript can be downloaded by selecting Download - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*
