Hello. I am new to Kaspersky.

Recently installed Kaspersky plus on my laptop.

I have following two questions-

1)is product version update automatic?

My current product version is 21.18.5.438(a)

2) Can I unblock a website which is blocked as a "false positive" by Kaspersky?

Thank you.

@Raj MJ Welcome

Answering your questions:

1) Yes, Kaspersky is configured to update itself as new updates are automatically implemented.

2) Yes, although it is not recommended for security reasons, you can "unblock" a file/website if you wish and believe it to be a false positive. In Kaspersky, you can include them in the exclusion list, where Kaspersky will ignore the file or website.

@Raj MJ

There is no specific interval for product updates and this occurs as the development team decides to implement new functionality and/or improvement fixes.

Updates to virus databases occur frequently and are continuous enough to protect all devices. As for this update, you can change the database update frequency as per your need, for example, every 1 hour, every 2 hours, etc.

Spoiler

Open Kaspersky's graphical interface

On the left-hand side of the window, click → Security

Under Antivirus database update, click on the gear (setting)

Click → Database update schedule

In the Run update option, click on the list and choose how often you want Kaspersky to update itself

Click → Ok

Click → Save

Hello @Raj MJ

Welcome!

*New* versions are distributed in stages across the globe & are total-force-updates, when a new version arrives the Kaspersky application will send you a notification to let you know there's an update, at that point (you) have an opportunity to accept OR delay the update.

The notification will appear again - after 168hours - 7 days, in the computer is not shutdown, rebooted in the interim.

For suspected false positives, please check the Kaspersky Reports & read: What to do if a Kaspersky application blocks my website or application.

Thank you🙏
