KPM - hosting stuff locally problems with ports / IP / Localhost

Recommended Posts

/edit:

KPM version 9.0.2.21093 (u) / 1642492778_7130 / 1.0.523.0-0.8.3.0_1

Win version 21H1 (Build 19043.1466)

Problem with KBM and locally hosted stuff since my ip adress is always the same or just using localhost:port

Im hosting a variety of stuff locally and the only difference in their address is the port.

But when adding those as IP or Localhost it wont give  me an option to set an “authentication scope”

so every now and then i accidentally override a Password since KPM does not distinguish those different “websites” / browser based applications

Is there any way i can force KPM to acknowledge them as unique adresses.

thanks for trying to help but apparently my problem wasnt made clear so this post is not helping with solving the issue.

I dont have issues accessing any of my local hosted stuff. The Issue lies only with me not being able to separately setting up each browser based application with their unique login/password combo

example:

http://192.168.1.10:6000 - Login A / Password A

http://192.168.1.10:9000 - Login B / Password B

http://192.168.1.10:2080 - Login C / Password C

Issue: All of these get treated as the same site and not even apparently as a proper “adress” since it won’t let me set “authentication scope” for each port as unique (three dots besides url is not clickable)

So if i go to the :9000 one and i enter in username B/pw B and on the first time i didnt know of this issue so i saved the combination and it overwrote Credentials for A.

Hello @thedotahota

Welcome!

Re “Is there any way i can force KPM to acknowledge them as unique addresses?”. No, (ioo) KPM, requires an additional option → Do not merge for x address(s)

We’re able to replicate the issues, after adding (http://192.168.1.10:9000) → not shown ‘cause it got merged by KPM, i.e. replaced http://192.168.1.10:6000
