@Alexey Todirash,

This is an excellent addition to the English Forums.  Thank you.

I am a new Kaspersky Premium customer (May 2024).  I went to import passwords in .csv format from my Siber Systems password manager product only to find out that Kaspersky Password Manager only supports, if I remember correctly, importing from only four other products, and my current PM was not among those four.

I have over 180 passwords and safe notes in that other product.  I am not prepared to add each one individually to KPM, so KPM is useless to me.

I would suggest enhancing KPM to accept imported passwords from more password manager products with a significant market share.

Thank you again for this new pinned KPM topic.  Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

@nexon  I have reached my colleagues to open similar topics for their products.

@garioch7 we actually can import from any csv file. Here, in the section "Import data from other password managers", is the description about csv file format that we can be imported.

@Alexey Todirash,

Thank you for your reply.  My product is not on your list of supported password managers.  Having to manually create, format and edit a custom .csv file would be as much work as creating new KPM entries individually.  I will pass on that.

Thank you for considering my request.  I am also happy to hear that other Kaspersky components will have a dedicated topic in the future for product suggestions.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

What about Brave support? :classic_wink:

Here was many question about this.. I always use brave.
But there is compromis :

1.) If i want use kaspersky protection addon then i always after every update brave must rename from brave.exe to chrome.exe then will work.
2.) If i rename to chrome.exe then KPM addon wont will work. Because KPM addon works only with brave.exe and not renamed chrome.exe.

So i wanted and also many people here i am sure that brave should be supported from Kaspersky. Because still renaming file afer every update.... I just only want brave.exe compatible with KPM and Kaspersky protection addon.

Hello @Alexey Todirash

KPM, FOLDERS, CATEGORIES:

Please expand the options/choices OR add the ability for users to create Folder Categories that suit their needs:

image.thumb.png.252d9af0f456ed5ad01589362a0c408e.png

For example: Education, Medical, House, Government & so on...

Not sure if this request been raised in:  Предложения к Kaspersky Password Manager.

Also, on that note, there's 7 pages of KPM suggestions, having this topic feels a bit like re-inventing the wheel:classic_ninja:

Thank you🙏

The last change and update date of the Accounts and Passwords must be included. It should also be possible to filter by update date by adding these filters.

Hello @eastonc

Welcome back!

Password change history - date / time etc already exists.

Filtering of this field does not exist at this time.

For enhancements to Kaspersky software, please submit a request to Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts  - select either Chat or Email, then fill in the template as Feedback, I have a request OR Feedback, I have a complaint; include a *detailed history*

*Also* -> IF using Chat - *before* ending the chat -> ask the operator to email (you) a copy of the chat transcript - otherwise (you'll) have no record of the chat*

*Note*, not all changes are successful & those that are may take a long time, sometimes a very long time, to be implemented

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏

Password generator is cool feature. Why disable? If you don't want use it then don't use it.

Why disable it?  Because I don't use it.  That's usually the one and only reason to disable something.

Sometimes its GUI gets in the way of other text or I accidently mistake it for something else for a moment.  It's more than a little annoying.

@MightierPen

We agree, we think the option to disable  Password Generator should be available; for the reasons you've mentioned and others previously posted.

Thank you🙏

Hi@Alexey Todirash,
I'm currently turning to Zen ( a browser based on Firefox ), but it's not supported by KPM now.
I think there are 2 solutions:
1. KPM officially support Zen (or other firefox forks, like Librewolf)
2.KPM gives an option to let users choose trusted browsers, so kpm don't need to officially support it (This idea comes from the Zen docs for fixing 1Password extension, seems 1Password support this feature , so why not kpm supports it too)

Looking forward to your reply. Thanks to you and the whole KPM team!

Have a great day.

Hi @IcePolaris,

thanks for reference. More likely that we will create a solution to support different browser, unfortunately Zen browser share it to small fro official support. In any case it will require a research from our development team so I cannot promise it in next release.

I've been a loyal Kaspersky user for over 10 years and have always trusted their products. However, my experience with Kaspersky Password Manager has been underwhelming. As a heavy password manager user across Windows 11, Chrome, iPhone, and Android, I found the product lacking several essential features, especially considering its high price compared to its competition. Below is a detailed list of missing or underdeveloped features that I came across, and I’ve also shared it with Kaspersky support for improvement.

Missing features for Kaspersky Password Manager (06.04.2025):

  1. Show Recently Added Passwords
    • There should be a dedicated section for recently added logins, separate from recently viewed ones.
  2. Shared Folders
    • The ability to create shared folders for easy sharing of logins across different accounts is missing.
  3. Reorder Multiple Accounts
    • For websites with multiple saved accounts, users should be able to drag and drop to rearrange them, which helps the user to pick their default account as a first choice.
  4. Standalone Browser Extension
    • The browser extension should function independently without requiring the full desktop software.
  5. Account Counter
    • The extension should show how many accounts are saved for the current website.
  6. PIN Unlock Option
    • Besides Windows Hello, users should be able to unlock the extension with a simple PIN for quicker access, but not all users are using Windows Hello (webcam always covered).
  7. List All Accounts for Website
    • Clicking the extension should show all stored logins for the active site.
  8. Note Folder Selection
    • When creating a note, users should be able to select which folder to save it in.
  9. Automatic Folder Assignment for Notes
    • Notes created within a selected folder should be saved there automatically.
  10. Folder Selection for All Entries
    • Every new entry logins, notes, etc., should allow folder selection at the time of creation.
  11. Clone/Duplicate Entries
    • Users should have the option to duplicate existing entries for quicker setup.
  12. Persistent Entry Names
    • Website generated names for entries should remain visible and not disappear after clicking on them.
  13. Recycle Bin for Deleted Items
    • The bin feature is needed to recover deleted entries within a 30-day period.
  14. Extension Crashes Frequently
    • The browser extension crashes multiple times a week and only works again after restarting the browser.
  15. Slow Extension Start-up
    • The extension takes approximately 5–8 seconds to open (1k entries), with performance slowing noticeably as the number of saved entries increases. The larger the database, the longer the delay.
  16. Slow or Manual Syncing
    • Syncing is often delayed or requires manual triggering.
  17. Annoying Passkey Prompts
    • The Passkey pop-up appears constantly, with no option to disable it.
  18. Weak Export Format
    • Exporting data in plain text is insecure. There should be an option to encrypt the exported file.
  19. Limited Import Support
    • Import options are limited, and unlike competitors such as Bitwarden, Kaspersky does not support importing data from Bitwarden, which is a major drawback.
  20. Extension Resets During Use
    • If the user is manually copying credentials and navigates away, the extension resets the search and loses context.
  21. Lack of Regular Updates
    • The update history suggests a lack of active development, unlike competitors that push meaningful updates once or twice a month.

The interface is clean and well-integrated with a modern UI. The option to get Kaspersky Plus + Password Manager is a great catch, which may attract users who bundle it with antivirus. However, at almost €20, the Password Manager simply doesn't deliver value for money. With so many better-featured alternatives available, Kaspersky’s offering currently feels more like a missed opportunity than a serious contender.

That said, if Kaspersky takes the above feature requests into serious consideration, it has the potential to become one of the best password managers on the market. With a solid foundation already in place, adding these user-focused improvements would not only elevate the product but also attract a wave of users looking for a secure, feature-rich, and reliable password management solution.

Hello @hamzakhair

Welcome!

  1. Some of the items (you've) listed *already* exist, we're sure Kaspersky Customer Service went thru this in detail with (you).
  2. Passkey prompts are configurable.
  3. Performance issues, slow, manual syncing, application extension crashing etc., all may have multiple root-causes - certainly pointing to issues outside the scope of this topic, again we're sure Kaspersky Customer Service are assisting (you) to address these.

Thank you🙏
