Ever since the last Kaspersky update, my phone won't update Kaspersky on wifi or on mobile data. It goes to 25%, then stops and says the issue with the database is critical. What is happening?

Hello really not working... Last update today morning.

Hi @nexon, 
When the update stops at 25% - it means the provider uses traffic caching and part the update is downloaded from Kaspersky servers and part from the provider cache. To fix the issue, please use another connection to the Internet or update via VPN.

Hi @Igor Kurzin i already tried update via vpn yesterday but still cant update.

So I connected to the netherland but with other vpn not kaspersky vpn and updated quick... So now when i want update i must always connect to the vpn?

I think it's better if you don't use a VPN, or the best way is to gift your neighbors, or public wifi points to update will be better.

Hm again cant do. Something wrong with the app.

Seems fixed after last update (yesterday) of kaspersky app 11.89.4.8499. Updating manually without problem. 

@Kamaloo @Mee can you check it out?

No problem on my end in doing a manual update, without using VPN.

Got the same issue also stops at 25%. Also tried with other vpn and still no luck

@Igor Kurzin hi also today i am facing problem with updating again. I ran update in 9:14 and update button (where i tap for update flashing Orange then Green - text) maybe 10 times and then i see databases cant update in messages is ERROR 2. I ran again and is showing 100% freezes more than hour.

I have latest version 11.91.4.9037

My Kaspersky for mobile wont update the definition database for 2 days, it says the database is already up to date but the latest definition is on 18th December 17.20 PM
I have the latest version for android 11.94.4.9278

@joe47 I have same version but i dont have problem so far now few days without problems... I am on mobile data not on WiFi now.
Maybe try turn off WiFi and try update via mobile data and let me know... 


If you still have problem with updating try reinstall kaspersky and update if not helpful then contact Tech Support.
