installing password manager extension in firefox || Kaspersky Total Security

Due to password manager not working in firefox I removed it and when hitting install button it loads a blank page in firefox, help

Hello @TomFiii

Welcome back!

  1. Kaspersky Password Manager cannot automatically turn off Mozilla Firefox's built-in password manager. Please manually turn off autosave and autofill settings in your browser to avoid performance issues in the Kaspersky Password Manager extension.
  2. Try: How to add Kaspersky Password Manager extension to Firefox

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you🙏

By accident I right clicked address bar and it allowed me to reload page for update and it allowed me to get it to work. Although the password manager still won't work in firefox even after making changes in firefox security. I have the latest version of firefox.

Hello @TomFiii

Thank you for posting back & the information!

  1. Ok, so what *actually* happens with KPM & Firefox - are there errors, we need more information - we need to see what  you see, can you show any fullscreen screen-prints (hide all private information before posting)?
  2. What changes were made to firefox security?
  3. Has Kaspersky Password Manager been *clean* installed? IF "no", please backup KPM first.
  4. Have you considered upgrading Kaspersky Total Security to Kaspersky Plus, please read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T. The upgrade is free.

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

  • I have removed and reinstalled K Password manager.

Hello @TomFiii

Thank you for posting back & the information!

  • 👉KPM clean install = uninstalling KPM, fulling shutting down the laptop, using Shutdown, not Restart, powering on the Laptop by pressing the Power button, logging in, downloading a new KPM exe, installing & rechecking - has that been done?

May we know the following please:

  1. Laptop OS version & build, read: How to find the version of your operating system?
  2. Have all Windows updates on the Laptop got a *Successfully applied* status?
  3. Kaspersky AV name version & patch(x), on the Windows Taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About?
  4. Has KPM *ever* automatically populated username & pwd - on the laptop?
  5. Does the "password manager will not populate the username and password boxes" issue happen if you use Chrome or Edge?
  6. Does the "password manager will not populate the username and password boxes" issue happen to 100% of the websites you're accessing that require a login?
  7. Post 5 websites -> make sure they're not: bank, financial, school, uni, government, porn, streaming services, anything we have to pay for OR pre-pay for -> for us to test, to see if we can replicate the issue you're having please?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

Note: IF the PC is working fine, we don't need info regarding that, it's good to know it's working, thank you.

officedepot - can't test - requires US phone number to register
Pocket - is *actually* a Firefox account - we understand, from your perspective, it's not working, it is the same problem but it's also a different problem.

👉Moving forward: log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, on the support page: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts, select either Chat or Email, then fill in Application malfunction, Password is not entered automatically template; please include any screen images of the error & a detailed history. Support may request logs, traces & other data; they will guide you  -> see image:

🤔Support may suggest you upgrade KTS to their newly released Kaspersky Plus (Kaspersky Plus replaces KTS, *eventually* KTS will be withdrawn, no end date has yet been announced, Kaspersky is still providing updates for the old range (KTS), but all developmet work on that range has ceased. The upgrade is free, it's a like for like upgrade.) Read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T.
