Mine only works when i changed the protocol to "Wire Guard" otherewhise it doesnt work fine. The "CatapultHydra" is new, faster to transfer but we cannot use it after the new update. I hope it helps to fix your VPN and they fix this problem as soon as possible.

I have just being testing KVPN 21.20 with server in Spain (my country), and it seems protocol WireGuard just sucks in speed, see my results with a 1 GBit symmetric fiber connection:

Of course Wire Guards speed is slow but in otherwise it doestn work. I have to change protocol to use VPN after the update. Before I updated it, my VPN works completely fine. When I set to auto VPN selects the faster one and it is CataputlHydra protocol. I am living in Turkey if you are asking to me.

I got upgraded to version 21.20.8.505-1 yesterday and when the VPN is active on the usb interface the internal lan port is disabled, kind of a boomer, I use the lan to remote desktop and the usb is my internet access, and the PC is not next to me so unpractical to go to the PC to try to investigate this.

When I disable the VPN my lan port is again working.

Do You have Your network set to Private in Your Windows network settings?

Also, are You using also K. Standard, Plus or Premium?

I do not know if you ask me, but it might be so.

I just checked and the internet network so to speak is marked as "Private network" and my local network is marked as "Public network", how they had got these names (public/private) I just do not know, but would like to know.

I am just using kaspersky VPN free version.

I can add that when the VPN starts is simply kill all traffic to all network but the one for the Internet, it do not disable the nic or anything like that, traffic is simply killed.

I have used this VPN for years and never had issues like this, the VPN had once been inoperative for 2-3 month but that is all.

My setup is a bit unusual I think, I got a USB thing to make internet connection, and the notebook PC is placed on top of this building (to get internet), and I access it via remote desktop. So when I now and then need VPN it is killing my access to the notebook PC, and to recreate access to the notebook I have to go for an extended walk.

I uninstall and reinstall it, and it works for about two days, then it updates automatically and then stops working. I'm tired of uninstalling and reinstalling. I've looked on all the websites and haven't found anything that can help. I've done everything they recommend, like the rotator, configuration, etc., everything that the Kaspersky website says. I'm tired. I've been using Kaspersky for over 10 years, and now this thing is bothering me. I have 2 more months of VPN and Total Security subscriptions. I'll continue with Total Security, but I'll stop using the VPN. VPN version 21.17.7.539 (b)

Hello @JFK77

Welcome!

VPN version 21.17.7.539 (b) is *ancient*; we don't know where you're getting the installer from when you do the *uninstall / re-install* process but, using VPN 21.17* is not recommended.

Kaspersky Total Security is Kaspersky's *old* software, it's been replaced by Plus; Kaspersky are offering a *free - like-for-like* upgrade; read: Kaspersky: Basic, Standard, Plus, Premium - info & FAQ, by Danila T.

The Plus installer can be downloaded from: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads#update-product

The latest VPN installer can be downloaded from: https://kas.pr/ksec_win_global

*Do the following*:

  1. Make sure (you) have the Kaspersky Total Security & VPN *activation code(s)*.
  2. Uninstall Kaspersky Total Security.
  3. Uninstall VPN.
  4. Shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power ON by pressing the power button, login.
  5. Download & install Kaspersky Plus.
  6. At the end of the Plus install make sure (you) sign into the Plus *application* with the same email address (you) use to sign-into (your) MyKaspersky account so the *application* & the License/subscription synchronise.
  7. Run a Database Update.
  8. Download & install Kaspersky VPN.
  9. At the end of the VPN install make sure (you) sign into the VPN *application* with the same email address (you) use to sign-into (your) MyKaspersky account so the *application* & the License/subscription synchronise.
  10. *AGAIN* - shutdown the computer using SHUTDOWN, not Restart, power ON by pressing the power button, login.
  11. Check/monitor for any original issues?

Thank you🙏
