Changed password on PC and when accessing the phone app I can no longer login
Roma2077 replied to Roma2077's topic in Kaspersky Safe Kids
Thank you very much for your quick reply. I was able to use a small variation the method described to access the Kaspesky app on my Android device. I was not able to click the “Forgot access code?” link when the fingerprint image was shown on the screen. I was able to either use the fingerprint and getting the error mentioned on my first post or hit the return button from Android I noticed that the App needed like 1 second between booting up and showing the fingerprint so I had to close and open the App a few times until I was able to hit the link “Forgot access code?” before the fingerprint image showed on the screen. Then I was able to log in with the new password. Would it be possible to modify the app so that even if the fingerprint image is shown the “Forgot access code?” link is clickable? Thank you in advance -

Guest replied to a topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
This is what they asked me to do and what I also did. It resolved my problem😀 Since by disabling Web Anti-virus component the issue is resolved, please try to enable Web Anti-virus and perform the following test: 1. Please launch your Internet Security 2. Click on Kaspersky Internet Security on the menu bar 3. Go to Preferences 4. Now locate and un-check the option to "Check Secure connections (HTTPS)" 👍 -

Issues with Patch E, Cant start Firefox, Malwarebytes, VirtualBox etc. after KIS 20 Version (e) Update [merged] [Closed]
rlwings replied to CronoK's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
CronokC, You have just summarised quite closely the problems I have been experiencing, and I’m now wondering if this is what is causing my problems. I use MBAM premium with Kaspersky Internet Security also. About a week ago I found that closing applications would still result in their processes running in the background. For instance, if I closed Steam in the tray, the icon would disappear but the processes would still be running. Any attempt to terminate said processes would be unresponsive, thus preventing any re-launch of the program. I have also had this behaviour happen with Chrome, Firefox, Uplay, Malwarebytes, and even Kaspersky. Only a restart would stop the processes. A few days ago I decided to revert to a system image I made when Windows was cleanly installed and the problem went away. Everything seemed to be working fine until just now where the problem has reoccurred. The only thing I have done today is uninstall Kaspersky 2019 and install Kaspersky 2020. It’s has to be something to do with this. Same thing happened to me. I did like you and installed a system image and the problem went away...Then came back! … Probably because Kerspersky pushes updates which obviously contain conflicts with other software. (Conflicts which never existed before) Namely with Malewarebytes. You’d think they’d have figured this out before broadcasting this unnecessary red-haring causing many Window’s users major headaches. -

Kaspersky free AV destroyed my PC [Solved][Closed]
mkdr replied to mkdr's topic in Kaspersky Anti-Virus
Hello, I just installed Kaspersky free AV, downloaded through your website (startup_14441.exe) an hour ago and it destroyed my laptop, latest Windows 10 64bit, default AV Windows 10 Defender + Malwarebytes free (manual mode scan). There is no malware on the laptop, I do daily scans with both Defender and Malwarebytes. The installation of your AV went through fine it seems, it asked me if I want to activate KSN, I said no. It then installed and then there was a popup asking me two things I dont remember, I think if I want the AV to auto remove known malware like dialers and such, and another question. I wanted to click ok/next, but nothing happened anymore. The dialog was frozen. I clicked start menu button, the animation of the button went down, but no start menu appeared. I had Chrome open in the background, and it had asked me to activate the Kaspersky addon, Chrome was still responding at this moment. I clicked yes enable, and at this time Chrome stopped responding too. More and more parts of the OS seemed to freeze/ crash every second. I tried ctrl+alt+del but no reaction. There was still animation going on on the start menu, I could still move the mouse cursor, I could still type with my bluetooth keyboard, but the entire OS seems to be freezing. After about 1 minute or so, I got a bluescreen of DPC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT or something, system not responding anymore. PC restarted. Restarted Windows, logged in, all seemed to work. I opened the Kaspersky systray icon to look through the settings, then maybe after 30 seconds of login, everything started to freeze again. After 1 minute or so, watchdog bluescreen and reboot. Restarted Windows, logged in... same behavior. I am now stuck. Cant uninstall or do anything anymore, the PC is totally broken, because of your software. Tried to boot into safe mode, but pressing F8 during Windows boot manager doesnt do anything, it always boots into normal mode. Triggering safe mode out of Windows doesnt work obviously, because I have not enough time, the system starts to freeze after login maybe 20-30 seconds later. -
KIS 20 Says Google Chrome is Using my Webcam ... But It's Not [Solved][Closed]
Bukkdog replied to Bukkdog's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Whenever I launch Google Chrome 77, KIS 20 reports that Chrome is using my webcam … but Chrome is not, in fact, using my webcam. Why does KIS 20 do this? Is disabling Webcam Protection the only solution? -
Edge/Brave: Info about Kaspersky protection extension - Phishing, safe money and url advisor [Closed]
Kaspr_us replied to Kaspr_us's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hello @FLOOD . Ty for your attention! I still have some doubts. Could you help with it? If i choose to use any of those browsers, without installing the Kaspersky Protection extension; i would certainly not be able to (i) use anti-banner, (ii) on screen keyboard, (iii) safe money, (iv) private browsing and (v)kaspersky url advisor, BUT the protection would be affected in some way? For example, the so called - Dangerous Content Blocking - wouldn’t work and i would be vulnerable to pishing attacks? The same idea would apply for Brave browser as i cant install the extension???? I noticed that kaspersky anti-banner, url advisor and maybe other things are indeed working with the new Edge without the extension. But this is causing some problems. For example: i entered a site, with Edge, that advised me to disable the addblock (i was not using one with Edge). It took some time till i notice that Kaspersky was the responsible. I could confirm it, by checking the log reports of the anti-banner function, and noticing it was blocking ads in Edge. This is a problem, cause there isn’t an easy way to disable kaspersky antibanner for specific sites in Edge. Tyvm for the help! -
Hello @Woody, As well as the info posted by @richbuff 🙇 Check: (1) Autorun - Launch Kaspersky Total Security at computer startup (recommended) & (2) Restore Settings Wizard After running the Wizard, check all other settings especially the Anti-Banner & Private Browsing. Also, if the Chrome Kaspersky Protection extension is not working correctly, run chrome://settings/reset - Reset & Cleanup, reboot computer, restart, login, don’t start Chrome atm, start KTS, run Database Update, run Full Scan - allow it to complete, start Chrome, recheck? Also, are there a Topic & a Reply (the same) posted by you? Or am I confused? Please let us know? Thank you🙏

Move from Kaskersky Free to Kaspersky Cloud causing login errors to Jsyke Bank.

OK, thanks. Which one of the four reports should I focus on? ‘Neutralised’, ‘Full Scan’ ‘Quick scan’ or ‘Database Update’? (I am guessing the last one is of limited interest.) -

Hi guys, about a week ago, my Kaspersky Free began to show warnings about Dangerous URL blocked “https://doubleask.com/wsn” This is not a site I use/visit and don’t have any idea what could be the problem, Only happens when i have chrome opened (That is 98% of the time). I run several scans, Quick and Full and nothing show up. The problem is that the notifications shows up about every 10 seconds, making my life miserable. Any idea what can be the problem? Thanks! Edgar.

[mobile] No In App Link protection - chrome is set as standard [moved]
Flood and Flood's wife replied to MaxPayne9101's topic in Für Privatanwender
Hello @MaxPayne9101, Welcome! Does Chrome show as Default browser ? If not, go to Settings, Application Manager, select Chrome, scroll to LAUNCH BY DEFAULT, select Clear defaults then return to KISA, either check the browser is now Chrome or go through the steps again to configure Chrome. After setting Chrome (I personally) do not access Chrome via KISA, Internet Protection, bc, the browser opens with a redirect to Kaspersky main (advertising) page. Also, check Chrome version: Thank you. -

Hello all, Quick question, is there anyway at all collapse the kaspersky context menu items, either within the application settings, apart from the obvious solution of deleting the values within the Registry Shell? Many thanks in advance!

To show it really works. When the installer hangs at 94%: The first time, I forcibly halted the mac using the power button. This is not really a good idea: after that, KIS complained there are some missing modules. It is still possible to launch it then uninstall it to start over. The second time, it worked for me. However, I was hacking a bit. I am not sure whether it worked by itself of if it were my hacking activity that unfroze the installer. Namely, in a terminal, I lauched the script that was hung, looking for the step at which it actually hung. But in the meanwhile, the installer resumed and completed successfully. For me, it was: "cd /tmp/PKInstallSandbox.2seyCw/Scripts/com.kaspersky.kav.core.CFsDP9 && sudo ./postinstall". And now, everything works well for me. This is my experience. Hope it helps.
