Should I make use of the Install Link provided by Kaspersky?

No @Eric the irritated, please follow the instructions we've provided above.

OK, I've done all that. I don't know how to tell whether or not it has picked up the License/Subscription bu it certainly appars to have synchronised with the KPM cloud storage. I've done nothing else with it since the installation and setup.

What's next?

Hello @Eric the irritated

Thank you!

  1. Re: "License/Subscription - is KPM showing Premium or Free?" - open KPM, at the top left of the KPM screen -> tap the 3 horizontal bars - at the top of the next page - directly beneath Kaspersky Password Manager & your email address (you'll) see the information:
  2. On the Android -> when you access: www.bosch-home.co.nz - has www.bosch-home.co.nz been saved as an ICON to the Android desktop OR do (you) access www.bosch-home.co.nz  by going to the browser & typing in www.bosch-home.co.nz OR an abbreviated version of that site URL & the *same* question for when you access forum.kaspersky.com?

Please post back?

Thank you🙏

1. Premium

2. I've never contacted Bosch from the Android. Bosh got into my password list via Windows. I probably found their web site via Google. I have accessed the Kaspersky forum from the Android via Google but I usually follow the labyrinth starting from My Kaspersky. That applies to Windows/iPad/Android.

Side issue? I doubt it it. When I first installed KPM on the Android I received a number of notices which flashed on the screen very quickly. One was satisfied by clicking on a button bar. The other came and went so quickly I could barely identify what it was about other than the "Autofill of Passwords" doesn't work and something about installed services. I could not determine the nature of the installed services or where to find them. Following my recent deletion and reinstallation of KPM I have started to receive the same messages again. This time the second message stayed on the screen. It read "Password Autofill doesn't work. Turn on the required settings to enable password autofill." I have done a quick search but I have not yet found anything which seems to fill the bill. Do you have any idea of what the required services are and where I might find them? These may be the answer to my problem.

Hello @Eric the irritated

Thank you!

We are *only* discussing Android, based on this: "Password Manager won't autofill on Android phone" @Eric the irritated - you keep introducing Windows & IOS.

Thursday 9th November, 2023, (you) provided a list - in response to our request:  "Share icons/sites that we can access without having to pay money for, no governement apps/sites, no gambling, no porn, no school or uni etc." The list (you) provided - for *Android* included  www.bosch-home.co.nz.... IT also included a streaming service = $, a Power company = authentication,  Newsgroup = prepayment with creditcard = $, genealogy website = prepayment with creditcard = $ & a parked domain😒

💥Moving right along.

Withholding information & dumping it almost a week after you started the topic while you've shared all sorts of irrelevant information, is *not* ok.

  • Question (1) - www.bosch-home.co.nz is *not* saved as a deskop icon, on the Android, is that correct - yes OR no
  • Question (2) - Kaspersky forum is *not* saved as a deskop icon, on the Android, is that correct - yes OR no
  • Question (3) - Has Enable autofilling passwords in apps been configured for *Browsers* & *Apps*
  • Within the Android side of things - the permissions may have to be granted twice = Apps & Browsers***
  • *AND* follow the images: *NOTING* each Android may be different, if (you) do not see these exact screens - don't get irritated - these are a GUIDE only:

Dear Me!

Withholding information and dumping it almost a week after I started the topic? Certainly not! My very first post was about possible additional settings. I even included a list of the settings I had already found and then asked if there were any more. Omitting settings is a perfectly likely error on my part  and there was no need to explain further. You then replied with questions which had nothing to do with settings but which on the face of it might be completely reasonable. But you made no suggestions about settings.

You then continued with a number of questions which still had no direct relation with settings and I followed. We got side tracked into various issues which so far have not led anywhere helpful.

You then suggested I reinstall KPM, which I did. On starting it up I again saw the warning messages, the first of which flashed part at sub-light speed, but I was able to stop the second and copy it. Only then did I have something to tell you, and I did. The problem still looks like a matter of settings. Bringing you this new information seems to have upset you. Well, that's not my fault. Now for your questions.

1. www.bosch-home.co.nz is not saved as a Desktop Icon on the Android.

2. Kaspersky Forum is not saved as as a Desktop Icon on the Android.

3. As I told you in my initial post "Browsers Offer to fill in passwords in browsers    ON" and "Apps - Autofill passwords in apps   ON".

While on the Samsung, 'Apps & Browsers' do appear in two different places it merely is that there is access to the same code block from two different places. I am well aware of the variations within the shells of the various Android devices and their system versions.

I presume I am correct in assuming that you are no more aware than I am of the full list of settings required by KPM on the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G version 13. In which case we should consider bringing this conversation to an end.

Hello @Eric the irritated

You're most welcome!

Your presumption is incorrect. Google is your friend.

IF you've followed the documentation & the images *provided from our phones - not from Google* & not been able to work it out on (your) phone & the Password Manager won't autofill on Android phone issue persists, log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service: https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c#contacts; on the support page, select either Chat or Email, then fill in Application malfunction, Other template; please include any screen images of the error & a detailed history. Support may request logs, traces & other data; they will guide you.

Thank you🙏

I still think I am correct in assuming that you are no more aware than I am of the full list of settings required by KPM on the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G version 13.  If you had known them surely you would have told me.

In this matter, Google is not at all my friend. All that it knows of this matter is this thread.

You may rest assured that I have read Kaspersky's instruction and I launched this enquiry as preliminary to making a formal enquiry of Kaspersky. You may also be confident that I will read the instructions when I get to the site. There was no need to cut and paste them for me.

I am confident I will be able to find someone who can solve my problem and not need to turn it into a different problem which he can solve.

As far as I am concerned this is the end of this thread.

Hello @Eric the irritated

You're most welcome!

  1. You could not be more wrong. We've simply reached a point where we're not prepared to uninstall/resinstall - gather *more* screenprints, for you, three times is more than enough.
  2. Google IS your friend - you cannot see the wood for the trees @Eric the irritated & it has nothing to do with your topic - the information was there before your topic exsted.
  3. Good.
  4. Good.
  5. LOL, we concur!

Thank you🙏

I  have a Samsung A53 5G phone and have just recently bought a Samsung Tab S9 FE+. Both are running Android 13 although slightly different versions. I have been engaged in extensive correspondence with Kaspersky Support over my inability to make KPM autofill on the phone. To my dissapointment I appear to be having exactly the same problem with the tablet. An Android upgrade in the last 24 hours for the phone has slightly improved the behaviour of the phone in that it now offers up user names for my selection and approval. It still will not do anything with passwords. I have tried both devices with at least two versions of KPM using Chrome, Samsung Internet, Google, Firefox and DuckDuckGo with no success. As far as I can tell both Autofill and Accessability is enabled on both devices. I have one proviso: on the installation of KPM the devices flash up a message about Accessability. Unfortunately this is displayed for insufficient time to enable the message to be read and digested. But, as far as I can tell, the accessability setting makes no difference. My suspicion is that something is different in recent Samsung Android and it is this that is tripping up KPM. I would be glad to hear that I am wrong.

Hello @Eric the irritated

Welcome back!

Please continue to engage with Kaspersky Support OR if you think it's a Samsung issue, please raise it with Samsung support.

Kaspersky support will assist you to capture any message that you're unable to capture, that's what logs & traces are for.

Thank you🙏
