I just found a bug that help me update outdated application from Kaspersky Free latest without license!

Hello, I just found an always working bug that help me update programs without any license in Kaspersky Free! When Kaspersky send a notification in the Notification Center, it would have a drop-down menu next right to the “Show” button. In side that drop-down menu, there is an option to Update the program that is currently outdated! I really want to keep this feature but I’m a nice man so I decided to make it go public then:’(.

  1. Is the software Kaspersky Free or Kaspersky Security Cloud Free? 
  2. Your problem description “I just found an always working bug that help me etc.” is difficult to understand, are you saying, the option was there & is not there now? 
  3. Kaspersky is transitioning from Kaspersky Free to Kaspersky Security Cloud Free. 
  4. In Kaspersky’s help documentation, all links to KF Software Updater, are now resolving to 404, page not found

     

     

     

  5. Software Updater is not available in the free version of Kaspersky Security Cloud - reference → Kaspersky Security Cloud package comparison. 
  6. It would help if you could show us a screen image of the GUI Notification Center, we need to see what you see or don’t see please?

First, Kaspersky Free IS Kaspersky Security Could Free. Second, I meant that this bug work every time. Third, it is. Fourth, I’m confused. Fifth, Software Updater IS NOT available in free version and I just find a way to do that in Kaspersky free version so that why I call it a bug. Sixth, I’m finding a way to trigger the Software Updater :)

  4. Kaspersky Free is being decommissioned, (ioo), the documentation has not been updated, bc, it’s becoming redundant. 
  5. Well then you are very clever.
  6. Good. 

Would you care to share *how* you trigger the Software Updater please, so others may benefit?

HEY! I finally triggered the Kaspersky’s Software Updater (I’m so smart :), I even heck software of a company in security, breme :] im a Hecker!)

Right after I click the Update all option, it will update the software

Then wait a little bit it will send a notification say that 

This is a notification from Tuesday because I kinda lazy to wait until the software updater complete lol.

I’m a genius!

Sorry to disappoint you, in Kaspersky Security Cloud Free, there is no access to Software Updater settings & all additional functionality, however, Kaspersky does not “withhold” software updates, and, even allows users some degree of autonomy by offering options as you’ve shown in (your) first image
