0 files scanned?

If I right-click and folder then select Scan for viruses, I may get 0 files scanned.

eg for Partition Wizard.  As per 2nd pic, folder contains lots of files!

A different folder like Rufus, and it works fine!

Ideas anyone?

It looks like you've added an exclusion for this folder or the folder one/several levels above it, which contains this folder with files.

No, that's not it.

Create a new folder on your desktop and copy some files into it.

Scan for viruses - works fine.

Scan it again - nothing, 0 scanned.

So Kaspersky has kept a log of files scanned to save doing it again, right?

1. A user initiated scan should always run.

2. What if Kaspersky was disabled for whatever reason and said folder contents changed but Kaspersky's flag said it was scanned before so ok now?

The technologies are called iSwift and iChecker, see more info. They can be disabled in the Instant file scan settings.

Seems the latest Kaspersky update to 21.25 has fixed this.
