Full Scan, Cloud objects skipped
Flood and Flood's wife replied to MDT's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hello @lilium66, Thank you so much👏 , what’s also very interesting is the notification, to Windows Notification Center. Kaspersky documentation is very clear, it refers to OneDrive Cloud only, not GoogleDrive or any other Cloud storage: Scanning files in OneDrive cloud storage In Windows 10 RS3 or later, Kaspersky Security Cloud does not scan files in OneDrive cloud storage. If Kaspersky Security Cloud detects such files during a scan, it shows a notification stating that the files in cloud storage were not scanned. The following components do not scan files in OneDrive cloud storage: Full Scan Selective Scan Quick Scan Background Scan The report on the operation of Kaspersky Security Cloud contains a list of files in OneDrive cloud storage that were skipped during scan. Files downloaded from OneDrive cloud storage to a local computer are scanned by real-time protection components. If a file scan was postponed and the file has been uploaded back to OneDrive cloud storage before the scan is started, this file may be skipped during a scan. When running applications and scripts, the Application Control and System Watcher components download applications from the OneDrive cloud storage to the local computer to scan. Please raise the issue with Kaspersky Technical Support, they’re the ones who’ll be able to provide a definitive answer. They will ask for traces, thankfully the issue is able to be replicated, otherwise, it would be a PIA for you😉 Please do share their advice when it’s available? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳 -
Deletion of Reports, settings. [Solved][Closed]

Hi, Many thanks for the quick reply. I hope these are screen shots you requested: The links etc in the anti-banner report are all from today as I deleted all reports earlier this morning. Regards, Dave. -
Hi Flood, Thanks for the super quick response. You are absolutely right - when I checked Safe Money again, all the sites had appeared. I’m sure they weren’t there yesterday after the import, but the machine has been restarted since then. The video threw me at first - no sound, and it seemed to show that nothing wasbeing restored or imported, until I twigged that there was nothing to export, either! Thanks again for your help. DeWrek

The eagle has landed, the J version is now installed 😄 A quick view seems to confirm that KSM is now working indeed under Edge-Chromium, I will do some further checks later. The J version has introduced a bug on some sites, but that can be "solved” temporarily by a Shift + F5, as you're aware of. Regards, JW

Hello @FLOOD In fact, Firefox is my main browser and I occasionally open Edge Dev. for checking my company’s email(not supported by Firefox). This morning, when I opened Edge Dev., I found Kaspersky Protection extension was installed in my Edge Dev. . However, I suddenly found that I could not access my Gmail and therefore I post my question on this site. Many thanks for your quick response and I hope the problem will be solved quickly in the future. -
Hello @vega109, Thank you for your quick response☺ & the additional information👏 By my count there’s 5 people who’ve reported the issue here in the Community, if each person is on patch(j), (imo) it’s important to contact Kaspersky Technical Support, ask them to assist? They’ll need all the info you’ve provided here, the GSI & Windows Logs and please tell them the issue is resolved if EdgeChromium is run as InPrivate, ask them why that would be? After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human🕵 will communicate with you, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in your MyKaspersky account. Please keep us posted with any updates they provide please? Thank you🙏 Flood🐳

Hello, @FLOOD Many thanks for your quick response. I use KIS20 updated to patch (j) , and this picture below is what I saw at my computer on Windows 10 using Edge Chromium. However, my Gmail on Firefox is OK. This method “KIS Settings > Additional > Network > Traffic Processing > Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages is unchecked, reboot” does not resolve the issue.

[MacOS Catalina] How can I complete a full scan? [Closed]
Guest replied to ldlynch3's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hi! Try to scan driver separetely without using Full scan option: you can select the concrete drives to scan and check in what cases the issue occurs (try to select only internal drive, then try to sellect external drivers). In what cases the issue occurs? Then try to select all drives (or manually or using Quick scan scope option) and also check does the issue occur in this case? Please tell about the results. Thanks! -
I thought I was something to do with the database update in all fairness as it only detected it after the update. I don’t think I even finished my quick scan. What is strange though is it isn’t detecting the .exe again when I re-download it through steam. edit: I also put a ticket in through the support in my Kaspersky. Hopefully they should give me an answer. Also I did a full scan last night and nothing was detected. also about the windows, I just keep forgetting to do it. I’ve been meaning to get it done.

Install VPN on a Router/Raspberry Pi
ReidelHPB replied to ReidelHPB's topic in Kaspersky VPN Secure Connection
Good Morning! I would like to use Secure Connection on my Amazon fireTV Stick, unfortunately there is no app for the FireTV. Sideloading the android app does not work because the screen ratio is messed up and i can't login due to the fact that there is no Keyboard. Other VPN Services do have the possibility to be installed directly on a router to secure the whole network. Can i do this with my Kaspersky VPN or maybe install it on a Raspberry Pi? -
Thank you all for the replies! Yes, I have installed the latest version of VLC media player from the original site. I have now manually removed the files using “Remove from quick access” RM B option and the files didn’t appear afterwords. I couldn’t access the files as there was no file in the said location (C:\Users\xxxxx\OneDrive\Desktop) therefore, Im afraid the files are not there anymore. I have KIS2020 installed in my PC. Thank you and best regards, BJ

Cursor freezes when using On-screen keyboard [Solved][Closed]
Marlbo replied to Marlbo's topic in Kaspersky Total Security
Hi richbuff & Flood thanks for your response (it all helps!) I *think* I may have just sorted the problem, nothing simpler than updating the Kaspersky database which is strange, as I thought it automatic, or at least I would get a prompt to say out of date, never had to do that before.? Flood: that was the first website and time I had the problem, today I added its URL to the Safe List, retried the Website and my Bank site, and received a message for both that there was trouble with Certification/verification and they may not be safe. Opened Kaspersky, saw a lot of orange (warning?) text that it needed updating, it didn't want to update at first, re-booted, selected the Update Automatically (even though it was already selected) Saved, then retried those Websites with no problem and I can hover over the On-Screen keyboard as much as I want without it freezing now. Really don't know what happened there, just one of those never to happen again glitches?....Lets' see! Thanks both for your offers of help Marlbo -
Hello Marlbo, As well as the post from Richbuff, do ALL financial sites/online have the same issue with the Onscreen Keyboard & the Protected Browser not opening or one site? While we're trouble shooting/analysing (it wouldn't hurt) to run a full scan, it may a long time, please allow it to complete. Please let us know? Thanks!

Hello Skywreck, Thanks for posting back. May I ask, is the original problem: "cannot access any of the Kaspersky settings as the mouse and keyboard are disabled around the borders of Kaspersky interface", slightly different to current issue: "input director mouse is disabled on any Kaspersky window"? And, it's very hard (for me) to see, on the left hand side it looks like there are 2 shortcuts being accessed, 1 (input director?), the other (?S_Cll?) is it possible to move these to a more central/visible position & reproduce please? For my understanding, when [ ]Self Defence is unselected that's using the locally attached mouse? Is that correct? Also, referring to the following image, your .mp4 does not show a PopUp when [ ]Self Defence is changed, is that correct? & please let us know: KIS [Security Level] setting? Secure Data Input Settings? Is KISDT version 3.1.10.217 software still installed? Thanks! https://help.kaspersky.com/KIS/2019/en-US/87342.htm

Hello Skywreck, Welcome! May we have the following information please: KIS version? Devices Operating system/s / versions? Input Director version? Screen print/s showing "mouse and keyboard disabled around the borders of Kaspersky interface"? GSI - https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/3632 Thanks.

Cannot open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC [Closed]
DonB replied to DonB's topic in Kaspersky Internet Security
Hi Shulte, I finally found my answer by using Contana and typing in the response from Windows when I attempted to open Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. This is the answer that was posted and it worked like a charm. Correct Answer by Adorobat on Jan 13, 2017 5:48 AM Could you please try the following steps: 1- Close Reader 2- Hold down Windows key and press R on your keyboard, this will bring up Run dialogue box. 3- Type regedit in the run dialogue box and hit Enter, click Yes when User Account Control pop-up appears. 4- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options, delete the key AcroRd32.exe 5- Relaunch Reader Best, DonB
