I can't install google chrome on my windows 7 pc, "initializing in progress" afterwards "internet connection in progress" but it goes on forever without installing anything. Is a Kaspersky setting causing this? [Closed]

ello @releone, I must say, your English is much better than my Italian😉 , allow me to reply in English please - the fan on my laptop is dying, I'm doing all my work in 15 minute bursts. ➡ You have version 20.0.14.1085, bravo👏 How to find Kaspersky software name, version & patch, there’s several methods: [a] Open KIS, select 🎧Headset🎧 bottom left hand corner of application = Support window, shows: Operating system name, version & build, Database release date & time, KIS version & patch(x). [b] Windows Taskbar, hover 🐀mouse🐀over the Kaspersky shield, a tiny popup window displays: Kaspersky software name, version, patch(x), Databases release date & time. [c] Windows Taskbar, right click Kaspersky shield, select About, popup window shows Kaspersky software name, version & patch(x). [d] To revert to red & black shield, open [c] About window, on the ⌨ keyboard⌨ type keys: IDDQD Reboot the computer to apply the change. [e] USB scan, Esamina solo la root. Scan root folder only. This is entirely personal choice, it also depends on the backup size, time to run the scan, and if you're confident the contents of the drive (other than root) are completely clean. I've lost count of the times people I've helped say: "I lent my USB to a friend, he/she gave it back, now my computer is full of ransomware, malware, etc., etc.” (imo), if you do not know how “healthy” the contents of the USB are, first, always, do a Full scan, once you are 100% confident, any followup scans can be selecetd according to your requirements. Another ‘tip”, in all Kaspersky software applications, every window has a ❔ in the top right hand corner of the screen, (see image above ❔ circled red), selecting any ❔ will open a browser to a Kaspersky "Help" document, specific to the application screen. Welcome. Please post the full, complete detection details. Full file name, full path, full location, detection verdict. Post screenshot of Reports > Detailed reports > Detected objects. Main Kaspersky window > More Tools > Reports > upper right > Detailed reports > at the upper left, drop down from All Events to Detected objects. How to take and post screenshot: https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/492 PrtSc (Print screen) key (upper right part of keyboard)> open Paint (Start > All programs > Accessories) > Edit > Paste, File > Save as (jpeg or png, Not bmp). When replying, bottom left of reply box > Drag files here to attach, or choose files... Submit reply. Please see: Detections checklist -
Thank you for your quick reply. I was not expecting an answer so quickly so I’ve tried this: disassociated the windows account with KSK, and re-associated it (fortunately, previous settings were saved and I did not needed to re-configure everything). And it seems to work again. But something was clearly “broken”. Time schedule & limits were not working properly, but were working till now. Next, internet filter had also stopped working (it was not detecting my son account anymore and was no more reporting visited websites). I will check if this happen again and will update this post if needed. Thank you!

Hello @FLOOD , Thank you for your help, thankfully techinal support still trying to solve it and I am glad they are really trying :) I will share GSI files here any idea is welcomed as it can be something too small, like a command it is keep Rolling, I don’t know much about scripting so anything may small for you, may important detail for me missing. -A little detail just a little when that thing forces my pc to close, even pc closed it keeps working for a while, after few times doing that I got mad and closed it from the button when I turned back on, Windows started repairing itself- Well the thing is I tried the methods written at down -tried video capturing but however it endup not geting saved -Reseting computer and keeping files doesn’t solve -It is not from macro programs -It happened even when opera isn’t installed -It is not like emergency shutdown when cpu or gpu heat up -it is more like timed program things I think, it is looking like one of them because it is forcing pc to shutdown I see the “shutting down” letter on screen also it doesn’t let me write anything like i can’t do “shutdown -a” it lock my keyboard somehow -

Hello @Nikiangel, ⚠ Regarding "why it is grey, why it doesn’t show how many things it blocked on the site, and why it doesn’t show the options private browsing, anti banner, onscreen keyboard when clicked", Kaspersky Protection Extension (KPE) is not working⚠ 🅰For KPE, there should never be multiple extensions/addons. 🅱 Is there a reason you're using KIS19? Your Topic is similar to Ladybeetle’s except, (for you), KPE is not working in multiple browsers, (imo), the best way to resolve this is as follows: 1Windows: C:\Windows\Temp delete everything in Temp, there may be a few files/folders requesting “Admin permission”, grant the permission, & there may be a few files/folders “In use”, select Skip. C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp delete everything in Temp, there may be a few files/folders requesting “Admin permission”, grant the permission, & there may be a few files/folders “In use”, select Skip. 2Chrome C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\ copy folder Default to the Desktop. chrome://settings/reset run Chrome Reset & Cleanup - allow it to complete. Close Chrome, do not reopen atm. Windows, Programs & Features, uninstall Chrome. 3KIS - 1 Tools, Clean & Optimize, run Privacy Wizard, select all recommended and strongly recommended actions - allow the Privacy Wizard to complete. Restart computer, login 4 KIS - 2 Download new KIS, apart from using a browser to download KIS do not have any browsers open atm. Install & configure KIS. And another update from me, removed from chrome the version 30 and version 4...and disabled version 20. It seems I get the same functionality and protection like if the plugin is enabled (at least the banners and spam advertisements are missing, compared to another PC without Kaspersky) I can personally call it a good functionality, probably provided by KIS itself, but then do we need Kaspersky Protection plugin at all? You should agree it’s a mess. -

FLOOD Hi, Here's GSI report. you requested. Cleared KIS reports launch Adobe CC Desktop App sign in there after a while, click 'check for app updates' and it gets signed out. launched GSI then started scan my computer including Windows event logs here it is. check PM Do I need to export reports you mentioned however isn't it included in GSI? I don't know how to do that. -

Hi Potzki You can add whitelist the site by adding it to the exclusions of the encrypted connection scanning of kaspersky. To do so: Open Kaspersky > Settings > Additional Go to Network Scroll down and look for Manage Exclusions Click on "Add" then enter: www.live.com.au Click on "Add" again to save the settings. Once done, re-launch your Outlook and check if the issue is still there. Let us know of the result. Regards, -
wifi, it literally disappeared. after downloading kaspersky?

i just dont believe how stupid this is. i downloaded kaspersky last night, and did a quick scan. after that, i continued watching YT videos. but not long after, the wifi stopped working on my laptop. it said “connected, no internet”. i asked my family members if they had the same problem, they didn’t. so obviously it wasnt the wifis fault, it was my laptops fault. so i decided to disconnect and reconnect. but, the wifi thing disappeared entirely. even in the settings, i couldnt find anything related to wifi, it literally disappeared. restarting the laptop helped, but this happens atleast twice a day. i even uninstalled kaspersky (which LITERALLY took me hours), but the problem is still there. i’ve never had this problem until i downloaded kaspersky. any help? -

EAC conflict with Kaspersky Antivirus, Notice says "untrusted system file" [Closed]

Posting this to let everyone know that EAC is now the problem and that this error is happening with other antivirusus and that their anticheat is causing their games to not load for many people period. I am one of these people and wish that there was a way to completely destroy all traces of EAC in my system besides hard deleting them but i cant so i will be stuck with this issue till they fix it. (uninstalled Kas. and tried to launch several games so this is how i know EAC is the issue + some redditors I will make a new edit when this is resolved) -

On the other hand, manually importing Kaspersky certficates, is only necessary under certain circumstances. Re: "theoretically, such a root certificate gives the owner the ability of MITM attack", are you suggesting Kaspersky would launch a MITM attack? :thinking: -

You can create a policy, as you said. Or you can try to upgrade you KES by inplace update. You can create installation pack of new KES and launch setup. It should install it succesfully. And with ne wversion and new policy you can change your password also. I have already tried this and installation fails with a fatal error. It does install over the current version without uninstalling it and because there is a password set it will not uninstall without password. -

Подведу итоги, для устранения ошибки можно попробовать: Полностью удалить штатными средствами KES с хоста, перезапустить устройство, заново попробовать установить KES (помогло мне) Если не получается штатными средствами: Удалить через актуальный kavremover (https://support.kaspersky.ru/common/uninstall/1464),ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО перезагрузить ПК. После включения ПК, запустить установку (учёткой с админскими правами); (помогло 06aaa) Воспользоваться информацией со старого форума а именно - установить драйвера отдельно, инструкция ниже и ссылка ниже Инструкция: Please install klhk.sys_x64 driver manually. To do so please right-click at inf file and select install from context menu. After the driver is installed please launch installation once again. Please inform u about result. Thank you! Problem between KES 10.3.3.275 and Windows 1903 update

I have problem with 10 and 1903 update and KES 10.5 Agent - working, KES - dont. Update from KSC - fails. In my case: i uninstall KES by windows programs and features, reboot. Then launch task to install from KSC and KES 11 installed seccesfully. Try to full delete KES from your device, save agent. -
