  1. Yes, it looks like Cesares link helped. However it was a NEW STANDARD UNCHANGED installation which is supposed to be properly debugged and errors properly caught and messaged. There was not SQL related error, just quick setup, which is run automatically after installation, crashed without message. To CAOS > thanks, but I am not paid to betatest standard installations, this is paid software so I expect it to work at least in most basic situations. I installed it anew in new Windows 10 with SQLserver 2019 express and there was the same error. That means that EVERY new installation of SQL2019 server will produce the same error. This is clearly badly debugged setup which might work with SQL2019 server only if it is upgrade of older version.
  2. KSC12 does not work on new fresh standard installation of windows 2019 std server with new standard installation of SQL express 2019 advanced. Stop calling it compatible if it is not. I’m not going to troubleshoot it, reliable sw should work on new installation without exception. KSC is not able to finish quick setup, fails in various parts usually to connect KSN. Even when it finishes (once) then it doesn’t work and violates exception (don’t know which bc didn’t save the error) Web console is even worse, it didn’t even try to start.

  4. Hi @52daffodill, Once enabled (as per Friend response) the rootkit scan runs automatically once a day and after a PC restart. Also it runs as a part of Full Scan/Quick Scan, so if you have executed a Full Scan, there is no need to run rootkit scan additionally. Regards, Igor

    Thank you for the quick response. Windows Version: 10.0.19041 I restarted laptop and strangely seems to be working fine now so I’m not sure what happened...I hope this doesn’t end up being some kind of intermittent problem.

  8. Hello, We have a KSC 10 on a Windows 2008 server with SQL Express 2008. KES 10 and KSWS 10.0 are installed on the computers. We would like to migrate to KSC 11 but on a different machine with a new SQL Express for example Windows Server 2016 and SQL Express 2016. Then next step would be to move the KES 10 to KES 11 and KSWS 10.0 to KSWS 10.1. My question is how can I achieve that? I have seen that it is possible using multiple ways but I would like to know which is the best one and how best to do it? The ways that I have thought of are: 1: Install a new Windows Server 2016 with new SQL and Install KSC 11 on this one. Create all the necessary strategies such as KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 and then run the task “Change Management Server” on the KSC 10. Then launch the installation of KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 on the machines. 2: Do a backup and then restore it on the new machine and then update the strategies and tasks. If someone else has any other advice or ways on how can I achieve it, It would be really helpful. I need to start on next monday so its really urgent. Thank you in advance for your help.

  10. Thank you for that info! In that case please provide us with KES traces collected during update. To do so please start KES traces and then launch update task. Please make sure that *HST* file is created. Please provide us with full set of trace files.

  13. Just a thought/idea on how to make KPM a little more user friendly and easier to use. Giving the ability for users add/choose icons and or colours for folders. This would allow very quick reference just by looking rather than reading the folder name. Having the folders display in all the individual categories like: “websites, bank cards, ect” rather then only show in the “all entries” Tile view: On a 15.6” laptop screen, you are only able to fit “two rows for a maximum of 10 tiles”, please make the “size of the folder icons smaller” so a user is able to see a whole lot more. Also applies to “non folder entries” List View: Why when opening this view do all the entries always expand!? Giving the user the ability to “collapse all” or “stay collapsed” would be helpful to combat this. That's pretty much it. Keep up the great work Kaspersky Team!

    Windows 10.0.18362 Build 18362 KPM version 9.0.2.1445 (g) / 1576742241_6376 / 1.0.363.0-0.8.3.0_1 KPM Chrome extension version 5.0.0.39 Chrome version 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit) My Kaspersky suite includes Safe Money which, when a banking/credit card site is accessed in Chrome, will instead launch the website in a separate Chrome “protected browser”. The protected browser is a separate browser operating mode designed to protect data. It is different from an incognito browser. Image of regular chrome browser with PM icon for Username and Password, followed by protected browser with neither: Kaspersky Internet Security version 20.0.14085(g). I don’t know how to get the version #s, etc. for any of the below components. The KPM is the free one.

    Turning on Password Manager in Chrome protected browser

    I’ve just loaded the Password Manager to my desktop. I added the PM extension to Chrome, and it seems to work fine there. But when I launch a protected browser from Chrome, PM doesn’t work in the protected browser. I checked the extensions in the protected browser and there is none for PM. Anyone know how to add PM to the protected browser?

    Thank you for your reply I should have phrased my question a bit better, what i was after were to two fields to fill in, one being A home address and another being A postal address. A lot of government sites in Australia require this. Mabye i should have posted in request section. but thank you for quick response

Dear Kaspersky Free Antivirus Support Team, How’s things?, I just want to know is using an old version of your free antivirus safe to do so?, as I am on 20. 0.14.1085 (I) 2019 version, after finding it to be what I wanted in a free antivirus with easy to configure settings and with no sign of flaws. Both quick and full scans when tested separately was working well or should I use the 19.0.0.1088 of your free antivirus version instead.

  21. Hello Schulte. Thanks for the quick reply yesterday. Searched for this info but couldn´t find it. Maybe used the wrong words/terms. Unfortunately I activated the license before the Kaspersky AntiVirus countdown on my desktop fully expired so I am wasting days. :( Learned my lesson :)

  23. Thanks @FLOOD for your quick response: I’ve always had this issue of not having the multi-modal schedule function working on this computer. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled KSK as recently as earlier today. I’ve also made sure I’ve updated to the latest version of KSK (1.0.5.6123 (e)). I’ve attached the GSI & Windows Logs file to this post.Thanks.

    Hello @Ignatius_Reilly, Re “what tells Kaspersky that the PC is “in use”? mouse or keyboard inputs, simply being logged in?”, none of those are logged by KSK Device use time, however, to assist, we do need to see the data please.
