  1. No. I want just the opposite of a quick upgrade. I want to delay the upgrade until I’m ready! As it happens, I’m ready now, but I was absolutely not ready when I the upgrade on my one PC happened. It happened with the reboot immediately following my upgrade of Win10 1909 to 2004. If Kaspersky developers think that’s an appropriate time to install a new version of KIS then they have no respect for their customers. We need to be able to control when upgrades happen. Hello, You can use the following methods to control whether to automatically upgrade the version. Set 0 means I don’t want to upgrade product. Set 1 means I want to upgrade product. Now You can control it. But be carefully, When you upgard OS version to the latest build, You should install the latest KIS product in order to avoid the compatibility issues from OS. Regards.

  3. Hello, If you want to quick upgrade to 2021 build, you should change a registry key of product. The overall product push progress is pushed gradually in stages. Regards.
  4. Hello, I am testing KES Cloud Plus and I have issue with Android Synchronisation. Kaspersky Endpoint security & Device Management has been installed through the invitation email. From android devis everything is fine, i can run a synchronisation command with success. I try to run a synchronisation from server and got an error without details. I wanted to check Alarm ang Geolocalisation features and, as nothing happened, i try to force synch and got an error, see in attached. From smartphone side, if I launch a synch, i immediatly receive the Alarm and Geolocalisation request. How can i check what is wrong from server ? I didn’t find any log related to thois error. thx a lot for help
  5. Are you sure? It didn’t work for me. Did you test it by restarting your browser and wait at least 1 min? On my system, it pops up everytime when I launch Chrome or Firefox. I disabled all notifications in the settings menu and clicked the `disable this notification` button on the pop-up message itself but it still keeps popping up.
  6. Restart your computer and only Kaspersky Anti-Virus should remain active. To completely unload Kaspersky Anti-Virus, you need to right-click on the Kaspersky icon in the tray and select "Exit". But, as you have already noticed, this will launch the Windows Defender.

It would help us to anticipate such Problems before making queries like what I did above 😅 . I myself would bookmark the List's page for sure for future reference. Thanks again!
  8. No but I found the fix, do you wanna know how I Fixed it? IT seems really dumb Launch into safe mode (with networking) Install the kaspersky protection chrome extension I don’t know why, but that fixed it, it was my last solution cause i realised i had an extension missing but thats so stupid that your internet wont work at all on any browser or discord unless you have the extension.

  10. Hello - I updated my browser to the new Edge version yesterday. A I was going through the settings, I saw two Kaspersky extensions, one for PWM, which was on, and one for Kaspersky Protection. I inadvertently deleted the protection extension. I reset the browser, but it was still gone. I then uninstalled/reinstalled KTS 20, Everything appears to be working, the extension appears to be installed as safe money, on-screen keyboard, etc. are working. I searched for the extension and only found the PWM extension. What should I do, if anything? Windows 10 Home, KTS20 fully updated. BC

The same problem for me …. when nothing is running kasperksy free is takin 30+ % looking like is mining or what …. i`m really angry and if this will not be solved i will remove it …. someone have any solution now ? I`m not interested to contacting anyone i just want quick solution ., This persist for month maybe more … and i did try everything i found on this forum …

Image2: anyone logging into their own MyKaspersky account, with KTS installed and activated on their device, but not synchronised with a MyKaspersky account. To answer the questions: 1I could provide the 5 pc activation code to the other 4, they’d be able to activate their antivirus if they do not create a MyKaspersky account? Yes, a MyKaspersky account isn’t necessary to activate the software &, even if they did create a MyKaspersky account, they would not be able to associate it with your license, bc, you’ve purchased a 1 user, 5 device license; I user = 1 MyKaspersky account, not 5 MyKaspersky accounts. Kaspersky Security Cloud – Family, 20 devices, 20 user account license is available for 2+ user accounts. The Kaspersky Security Cloud – Family subscription owner can share the software with up to 19 family members; invited family members also need to create their own MyKaspersky account. 2 Can they use the antivirus locally without any kind of link to the My Kaspersky account that I own? Yes, locally applied and activated AV is what you & they need to do & it’s never recommended to give access to your MyKaspersky account. 3 Will I be needing to link my account to their PC because the license is associated with the account that I own? No, it’s not necessary to have or use a MyKaspersky account for the licensed software to work. Not using a MyKaspersky account doesn’t impede the use and or effectiveness of the software. Not using a MyKaspersky account simply means the features, available with a MyKaspersky account, will not be utilised, for example Remotely manage the protection of devices using the MyKaspersky account. 4 Will all 5 users (including me as the holder of primary account) be able to use the activated version for 2 years, with/without a MyKaspersky account?   14. Advanced disinfection stuck at 1% and 0 files scanned. Other scan like quick scan just keeps loading.

  18. Yes, it looks like Cesares link helped. However it was a NEW STANDARD UNCHANGED installation which is supposed to be properly debugged and errors properly caught and messaged. There was not SQL related error, just quick setup, which is run automatically after installation, crashed without message. To CAOS > thanks, but I am not paid to betatest standard installations, this is paid software so I expect it to work at least in most basic situations. I installed it anew in new Windows 10 with SQLserver 2019 express and there was the same error. That means that EVERY new installation of SQL2019 server will produce the same error. This is clearly badly debugged setup which might work with SQL2019 server only if it is upgrade of older version.
  19. KSC12 does not work on new fresh standard installation of windows 2019 std server with new standard installation of SQL express 2019 advanced. Stop calling it compatible if it is not. I’m not going to troubleshoot it, reliable sw should work on new installation without exception. KSC is not able to finish quick setup, fails in various parts usually to connect KSN. Even when it finishes (once) then it doesn’t work and violates exception (don’t know which bc didn’t save the error) Web console is even worse, it didn’t even try to start.
  20. Hello, We have a KSC 10 on a Windows 2008 server with SQL Express 2008. KES 10 and KSWS 10.0 are installed on the computers. We would like to migrate to KSC 11 but on a different machine with a new SQL Express for example Windows Server 2016 and SQL Express 2016. Then next step would be to move the KES 10 to KES 11 and KSWS 10.0 to KSWS 10.1. My question is how can I achieve that? I have seen that it is possible using multiple ways but I would like to know which is the best one and how best to do it? The ways that I have thought of are: 1: Install a new Windows Server 2016 with new SQL and Install KSC 11 on this one. Create all the necessary strategies such as KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 and then run the task “Change Management Server” on the KSC 10. Then launch the installation of KES 11 and KSWS 10.1.2 on the machines. 2: Do a backup and then restore it on the new machine and then update the strategies and tasks. If someone else has any other advice or ways on how can I achieve it, It would be really helpful. I need to start on next monday so its really urgent. Thank you in advance for your help.

  23. Hi @52daffodill, Once enabled (as per Friend response) the rootkit scan runs automatically once a day and after a PC restart. Also it runs as a part of Full Scan/Quick Scan, so if you have executed a Full Scan, there is no need to run rootkit scan additionally. Regards, Igor

    Thank you for the quick response. Windows Version: 10.0.19041 I restarted laptop and strangely seems to be working fine now so I’m not sure what happened...I hope this doesn’t end up being some kind of intermittent problem.
  25. Thank you for that info! In that case please provide us with KES traces collected during update. To do so please start KES traces and then launch update task. Please make sure that *HST* file is created. Please provide us with full set of trace files.
