  1. when i do this, i went to windows defender and it seems windows defender activated? can you post pic of how windows defender look after pausing KTS? Now it seem KTS is turned off but when i check task manager and background processes, it still shows two programs kaspersky anti virus and kaspersky lab launcher... both 32 bit. Thing is i have windows ten pro 64 bit so shouldn't that be also 64 bit? Also would i need to turn off both background processes to see if its indeed kaspersky total that is causing chrome to lag and also my laptop? Read somewhere you have to turn off both kaspersky programs at startup and restart it? if so, how to do that and is it necessary? because the way it is now, even though KTS is paused, well background processes could still affect it?
  2. okay. how do i download the ublock origin extension on chrome step by step?
  3. how exactly do you pause kts? Right click and pause? But it ask how long? when i pause it, windows defender still is off?
  4. So you suggest first remove the kaspersky protection extension on chrome. Then download the ublock origin extension on chrome and use that?
  5. Also what settings should i change when having kaspersky total on? Turn off anti banner? What about safe browsing? What about background scanning? Should that be off then?
  6. how to pause it temporarily? when you did that, did you turn on windows defender or does windows defender turn on automatically when you pause kaspsersky?
  7. So just remove the kaspersky protection extension and download that extension? Anti banner mode suppose to be on or off? You mean those ads that if you just let it play, it could be 5 minutes or more? Or you wait a bit for it play a short ad, then you click skip ad? Thought you had to pay youtube premium for that?
  8. how do you temporarily pause kaspersky total? So when you do that, you could tell if kaspersky total is the culprit of chrome lagging? want to know if that is reason my chrome lags or not... but don't want to uninstall it because if i reinstall kaspersky total, i have to make changes to the settings such as i had to turn off safe browsing when shopping and that on screen keyboard. is it confirmed just pausing kaspersky total as oppose to having to uninstall it could determine if its causing lag on chrome?
  9. Would using adblock plus or uBlock Origin be better with kaspersky total? Those blodcik youtube ads? Also what exact youtube ads do you mean? Those on the youtube page or when you play a video because don't you have to pay for youtube premium to block those skip ads?
  10. Hi. I just know I have this problem on this computer. I do not know about my other computers because I don’t have access to those computers now. I later on believe I clicked on the license data on the lower right or something around there and now that message doesn’t appear anymore. It shows the xxx amount of days left in my subscription. So that means there is no issue now then right? It does show everything like it is normally. I see the update status and it looks correct now.
  11. Am I suppose to be in the kaspersky website and logged in and then look I see my computer with an X on it. Then it shows desktop name and under it Subscription Problem Full Scan Quick Scan Update databases Click Update databases? Or I do see under Protection Failed to update the subscription status automatically There may have been too long of a period between connections to activation servers. Please verify the subscription status manually. I could click on green link that says Go to the service provider website? What do I click on here?
  12. Hi. I paid for kaspersky total few months ago. I installed kaspersky total in a few laptops of mine… all windows. But I mainly use one laptop and it uses windows ten pro. Now recently when I click on the bottom right tray of windows ten which displays other icons, it shows a red exclamation mark on the kaspersky total icon? Normally its green. When I click on the kaspersky total icon, it shows the client but on the bottom right of it, it shows in Red Subscription: problem found I then went to the kaspersky site and entered my login details and I see under Information Subscription expires in xxx days - Green Check Mark No Active Threats - Green Check Mark Antivirus Update Not Available - This is in Red and Exclamation point. Main Protection Components Are Running - Green Check Mark When I click on protection, it shows Failed to update the subscription status automatically Does this mean my kaspersky is not protected right now? I do see this laptop as one of the protected devices there so I am confused how this suddenly happened? If I need to uninstall and reinstall kaspersky total, how do I do this where my computer is protected at all times? Do I need to enable windows defender in the time being? Do I need to redownload kaspersky or should that download file still be there in my downloads folder? Do I reenter the license code?
  13. I read online that Disabling Enable Secure Keyboard Input would fix this issue? Also that kaspersky web protected browser. I have it turned on for a few banking sites. What I notice is when I have it on, my mouse lags a lot when moving it around my screen. Is this normal? I use this laptop with an external monitor and notice many times I can’t even move the mouse to the other monitor and I have it on EXTEND. But if I turn this off, is that fine? So would disabling both of these things be fine? Or would it jeopardize the internet security of kaspersky? Because I can’t even type on the address bar because of this no matter with the laptop keyboard, external keyboard or even the windows or kaspersky on screen keyboard.
  14. I purchased kaspersky total internet security few weeks ago. I did this because I was going to do a clean reinstall of windows ten pro on a laptop and want more security. I did the clean reinstall and installed kaspersky total and it was good. Now just recently, my keyboard when entering into the address bar of firefox, chrome and even edge does not work. I did install the kaspersky extension for weeks ago for each of these browsers. I mainly been using firefox because I read its the safest browser. The thing is for some reason, keys like pageup, pagedown, backspace, enter, Caps Lock, ` and several of the function keys seem to work on the keyboard. And by keyboard, im talking about the laptop keyboard and also an external keyboard connected via usb. I use this laptop while connected to an external monitor almost always. The weird thing however is… if I am on www.google.com and move my mouse to the search option on google… my keyboard does work. I could type any character. But when I move my mouse anywhere else, whether its the address bar or an application of a program I open, my keyboard does not work. If I do turn on the windows on screen keyboard, well that does work no matter where I type. Now when I turned on the kaspersky on screen keyboard, it seems to work everywhere… except the address bar of firefox/chrome/edge. Also as of now, I have bitlocker enabled and a windows ten password enabled. My concern is if I turn off my laptop or restart it, when it ask me for my bitlocker pin, isn’t that going to be a big issue if my keyboard does not work? Thus I can’t type my pin in? Could you even get the windows on screen keyboard open at the part where it ask your bitlocker pin? I assume not right? So to be on the safe side now, suspend bitlocker and no windows ten password because if I do that… then when I do a restart of my laptop, then it would go to the main screen? I did not even turn off my laptop since yesterday because of this. Also I am traveling abroad so this happening now is very frustrating as I do not have any computer. Can you tell me what is the best advice on this? Is this a kaspersky related issue? It makes no sense why so few keys work on the address bar and some function keys work but none of the letters/numbers work. Yet they work while entering in the google search menu? Is this related to the kaspersky enable keyboard or the kaspersky enabled web browser? Would turning those off make it work? How do you even turn it off? I checked online and the instructions have you going to settings and I don’t even see that when opening kaspersky total security.
