WPA3 seen as insecure by KIS?

I use KIS on a windows 10 PC and connect using WPA3 to a WPA3 router.

KIS keeps telling me that my connection is insecure and that I should use its VPN.

I thought at 1st that it was because I was using another VPN (Proton) via the windows client, so I removed it.

I still get the "your wifi is insecure" "please use our vpn" message.

Any clue? This is annoying.

Does Kaspersky detect Rogue AP? Could the message be indicating that someone nearby has created a false AP and that I am really at risk or is this a bug?

  1. Post an image of the "WPA3 insecure" alert, we need to see what you see please?
  2. Which KIS version & patch(x), x=letter, is installed, on the Windows taskbar or hidden icons, rightclick the Kaspersky icon, select About
  3. Export KIS Settings - How to export application settings
  4. Restore KIS Settings - How to restore the default application settings
  5. Shutdown the computer, using Shutdown, not Restart, power on by pressing the power button, login, recheck the "WPA3 insecure" alert?
  • ?Do not import the original config at this stage?

Please post back the outcome?

Thank you?

@Einrich

The Kaspersky VPN (FR version) alert is notifying:

The Wi-Fi connection is not secure because it is not protected with a password”
