why KSC 14 does not update unprotected devices after remote installations of kaspersky endpoint security

hi ,

my question is why Kaspersky security center 14  does not update unprotected devices after remote installations of kaspersky endpoint security ?

logically when I finished installing KES remotely on these devices it will not be displayed in the monitor that it is not protected (red light missing agent) knowing that the application is well installed on the targeted devices. after checking

Any suggestions for this sync issue?
I have already tried to restart the target computers, the KSC server, update KSc all that nothing;

Hello,

as per your description it seems you just installed the Endpoint Security but not the Network Agent which connect the client to KSC. Please check on the Client under Programs and Feature if the Kaspersky Network Agent is installed.

If not create a package and install it.

Please refer to "Installing Network Agent and security applications on networked devices" in this link

Main installation scenario (kaspersky.com)

Thank you in advance

Best Regards

yes i have done it before you answer me anyway thank you in advance, but i have another question when i have to make installation remotely of a package installation (in my case Kaspersky endpoint security for windows 12.1.0)in MMC console i think that the network agent was in the package, I don't remember but i think that i have read in your official document that the package of installation remotely of endpoint the agent network will be added automatically in the package? can you give me an answer about this information, please?

Best Regards.

Good day

a little off, the agent MAY be included in the installation package...

agent and client application (KES) are different installers, look at the installation packages section in your console, these are "raw" packages that can be configured BEFORE starting the remote installation.

There can be many "raw" packages - each for your own needs, for example, with different settings, for different groups of devices ... all this is configured inside the package ...

about installing both packages at once

1. Remote installation using a task

2. Local installation - offline package

1. when creating a KES remote installation task, at one of the steps the system will have to install the network administration agent package (from a set of ready-made raw packages) along with the KES package, you probably missed this step, as a result of which only a security solution without an agent was installed, in this cases you need to recreate the task and remember to add an agent to it.

2. creating a standalone package can be useful for manual installation, its creation is done from the raw packages section ... the steps for creating it are about the same ...

you can see and for example save standalone packages here ... it will be an executable file called "install.exe" it will contain all the packages that you have included in it and will not require any configuration locally, just run as administrator on the target machine ...

Basically you can create two tasks...

1. Installing the Agent

2. KES installation

and execute them sequentially... it won't make a difference...

there are many ways to install and automate this process ... everything can be found in the help
