Hello, 2 questions

1. How can I go from 1 expiring product (for example KIS) with a license for 3 active devices, adding a new product (for example KTS with 3 licenses again) to upgrade the new licenses to the 3 some devices - the easiest way.

2. If the old product (KIS) and the new one (KTS) are different (true), the product is automatically changed to the windows client (KIS -> KTS) or the process must be done with the installation of the new product?

Hello @StePits

Welcome back!

Different stokes for different folks, personally we prefer to remove the old, expired software & start afresh.

Just to clarify:

  1. You've purchased one single KTS license for 3 devices OR you've purchased 3 separate KTS licenses for 3 devices?

IF it's ONE license for 3 devices, the first device the software license is installed upon is the start day of the activation of the license; irrespective of when the software is installed on device 2 & 3, the start date never changes & is taken from the first computer the software is activated on.

IF it's THREE licenses for 3 devices, then it makes no difference, the start date of the software activation will be when the software is installed & activated on each individual computer.

This guide: Kaspersky Total Security, installing over other Kaspersky applications, provides information: Installing a new version of Kaspersky Total Security over a previous version of Kaspersky Internet Security.

(You) would select: Proceed with installation of the new version of Kaspersky Total Security. In this case, the application is installed and activated according to the standard scenario.

In the How to install the application, there's:

  • Checking for a newer version of the application
  • Starting installation of the application
  • Reviewing the End User License Agreement
  • Kaspersky Security Network Statement
  • Installing the application
  • Recommended settings
  • Completing installation
  • Activating the application
  • Registering and connecting to My Kaspersky
  • Completing activation

Please have a read & post back with any questions?
Thank you?
