Kaspersky suggested it turn off my canon Lide 210 scanner off as it slowing down the computer's performance. I now need to use it. The short cut for the scanner has disappeared and nothing happens when I connect the scanner. In settings, it's still there but my only option is to uninstall, so presumably it's still installed. Any advice welcome. It's a windows 10.

@Stephen Williams Welcome.

Can you locate your Canon scanner under "C:\Program Files (x86)" ?
Is the Canon driver enabled in the the Device Manager ?

Hello @Stephen Williams,

as an addendum to @Bernys question:
can you please open the 'Performance' window and open 'Show Apps' in the 'Quick Startup' option?

Does it show something specific for your printer as disabled autorun?
