Safe Kids accessibility only has "create shortcut" option

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm setting up Safe Kids on a new Android 16 phone. When I get to the step where I need to allow the Accessibility permission, the Accessibility menu only shows a "Create shortcut" option. Enabling it creates a floating icon on the side of the screen, and it seems like Accessibility permission is granted. But if I turn off the floating icon, it disables the Accessibility permission and Safe Kids will show notification ask to grant accessibility permission.  Is there any way to keep Accessibility permission enabled without having the floating icon visible?

Hello @SkyDemon

Welcome back!

  1. All Accessibility permissions haven't been granted - only part of the process has been done.
  2. Before worrying about the KSK floating icon, all permissions must be granted for KSK to work correctly ->
  3. **Start again** -> *Uninstall* KSK, then power OFF the android & leave OFF for at least three minutes, power ON, login, download a new KSK installer & install, read this: Get started on Android
  4. When KSK has been installed *correctly* it's possible to disable the floating icon / shortcut without impairing any KSK functionality.
  5. *When* all permissions have been applied correctly - in KSKApp monitoring (A), the Android Settings app, *must* have the Allowed permission changed to *Forbidden* (B) & *not* be marked: Available on blocked device (C), don't forget to select Save to apply the changes < Save not shown in image below> image.thumb.png.62d3c0e3096362db9464c1fd817c5cfa.png

Thank you🙏
