Remote users, is it possible to use FQDN/Sub-domain instead of Public IP address?

Just a quick question, we have a setup where we have a lot of remote users and was wondering if its possible for us to use FQDN/Sub-domain instead of just using Public IP in connected to KSC server. If you have best practices, would greatly appreciate it.

I think you would use a solution using a connection gateway to connect your remote employees to the internal KSC server
