MyRadar app is blocked by KAV.

Running Windows 10 64-bit.   MyRadar app (downloaded from the Microsoft App Store) was running well until an automatic update to version 8.7.3.0.  Now the app runs but the maps and weather radar aren't loading.  I uninstalled KAV and the app runs okay.  I tried to add this to "Specify trusted applications" but I can't find the program anywhere in C:\Programs Files, C:\Programs Files(x86), or in C:\users AppData.

Any information is greatly appreciated

Is the upgrade from KAV to Kaspersky Standard free?

I searched the "C:\PROGRAM FILES\WINDOWSAPPS\ but couldn't find any myradar.exe files that I can add to trusted applications.

"Yes" the upgrade from KAV to Kaspersky Standard is FREE.

1) You can download Kaspersky Standard from the Global website (no regional restrictions) :
→ https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/standard

2) With an on-top install Kaspersky Standard will import your KAV license + KAV settings.
To play safe please export your KAV settings before proceeding.

Yes" the upgrade from KAV to Kaspersky Standard free is FREE.

Is this the  "free" version?  I have a paid subscription to KAV and if this is the "free" version I would assume this isn't as good as my KAV purchased copy.

With your paid version you can upgrade to Kaspersky Standard for free.

I was a little confused.

Is Kaspersky Standard better than KAV? 

If so, why didn't KAV upgrade automatically?

Lastly, do I need to uninstall KAV prior to installing Kaspersky Standard?

@Nick70068 Welcome back.

We always recommend to upgrade to the latest versions, similarly like the Windows Operating System. Personally i always proceed with an on top install without any problem.
