Good Morning Colleagues

I hope you are doing well . We are Kaspersky Partner and as a result we have NFR license from Kaspersky valid for one year and can be renewed yearly . The license i used is Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro License which mainly used on Business Hub.

Previously , I can use the activation code for Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro License to add it Kaspersky Security Center successfully.

 

The old License expired and i generate new license by 9 December 2024 . When i try to activate it (Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud Pro License) on Kaspersky Security Center , It can't activate and return the error in the attached snapshot.

 

So kindly advice.

Good Afternoon @KarDip & @Demiad

Thanks for trying to help . I have followed all your recommendations and i would like to share the below with you:

  • I am using the local Console on the Administration Server for activation.
  • The old license was worked as expected and can reach Kaspersky activation server . No security changes happen in the environment.
  • When i try to generate key , It gives "Invalid activation code" as attached.
  • The activation code works as expected on the business hub.

So kindly advice.

Hello @Demiad

Thx for your fast response . Let me share the following:

  • My license is NFR so it is Business License .
  • I entered the activation code manually but still gives same error.
  • Attached is license from business Hub . As you can see , It is activated for Endpoint Security Cloud & Office 365 with no issue.

@AHmed Abdulla, I'm sure you're having connectivity issues.

Please, try again this solution:

  • Use the Web Console to add the activation code. The Web Console does not use the current system user's settings to access the Internet.

May i know how to make sure that  "using of unencrypted network traffic is allowed on SSL ports."  ?

Hello @Demiad

I would like to let you know that i found the reason for this issue . It is web control component !

If any block rule is active in web control - even not related to blocking Kaspersky activation server - , Activation gives error as shared in my previous messages . Once i configure all web control rules that have block action to be inactive , Activation works as expected.

 

Do you have any explanation for this behavior ?

Thanks for the shared links . I will try to reproduce the issue once have time.

 

So from your point view , Web control component (when have active blocking rules - even not related to blocking Kaspersky activation server - ) doesn't normally cause the license activation to be failed . Is that true ?

Good Afternoon Colleagues 

The issue has been solved . Thanks to Allah 

 

Web Control Component was blocking access to activation server so i add Management Console as trusted application as per attached snapshots.

 

The Management console path to add to trusted is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Security Center\Kaspersky Security Center.msc

Hello Ahmed Abdulla,

in principal we do not block our own connections by our own products.
The license key for a KES Cloud Pro License is not valid to be used on Kaspersky Security Center on-prem and it is also not intended to be changed into a key file. The only exception would be your NFR license is a Kaspersky Next Foundation or Next Optimum license which contain functionalities of KES Cloud Pro. Only in this case it would be possible to apply the license to KSC On-Prem too.

However, as Demiad already said. In case of too much Security Settings you have to configure KES as described in his link above.
