Lagging mouse issues

Hello,

I suppose it can be the known Bug 5657225: [SUPPORT] Mouse and keyboard does not work after reboot (patch i appliance)

It is related to our filters, which write in registry its values - only Windows OS can be affected. In most cases there was desinfection procedure + patch appliance. The problem will be fixed in next product`s version.

Here are the list of steps, which can help to resolve the problem(highest workaround is easiest one):

1. Use USB-Recover tool:
https://support.kaspersky.com/14221

to restore default mouse/keyboard filters values.

USB Recover tool is based on KRD18(Linux OS), so keyboard and mouse must work within BIOS and this OS, because they are not related to Windows and its registry filters.

2. Use System Restore. It can be run from Recovery mode:
https://www.ubackup.com/backup-restore/windows-10-recovery-mode-1021.html

Also you can run command prompt from this mode and delete keyboard and mouse filters manually:

3. Or manually delete Kaspersky values from registry:

Reboot PC - Troubleshooting - CMD - open regedit -
delete klkbdflt and klmouflt values in UpperFilters from the following path

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM1\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM1\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96f-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}

The last one - is the hardest way to restore keyboard and mouse and it is better to do not use it, if you are not Advanced user of PC(skills of work with Windows registry is required).

Thanks.

P.S. We have had the problem with keyboard and mouse filters before(in 2016 and after), but it were single cases, which were related to kavremover utility, improperly installation/uninstallation of Kaspersky products, customer`s registry problems etc.

Today: October 14th, 2024 and the same issue still happening!

As I've seen above, it's an issue of Kaspersky since 2016.  Well, many years to try to fix it without success, no?

I have a paid version of Kaspersky and it's messing up my pc (Windows 10 22h2).

As well said by @ledufinfra, @Atomahawk, @MrBrandt why Kaspersky Lab thinks it's okay to install stuff WE DON'T WANT to be installed????  Why Kaspersky don't ask our permission to install drivers on our computers????

I just want a protection against virus and malwares; I don't want any Kaspersky drivers!

I can't play my games on MY OWN COMPUTER because lagging mouse issues developed by Kaspersky!!!

Eight years... eight years since the first report to Kaspersky about it and it's still without solution!!!!

Just uninstalled Kaspersky from my pc, even though I still have 300 days for your "protection"!!!!

Customer Service does not work as it should - you're not polite; you should learn how to deal with YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!

Period!

I have it downloaded but not installed anymore:

"Kaspersky

4win202121.18.5.438apt_46480.exe"

It was the only solution I found to fix lagging mouse issues.  Now that I don't have Kaspersky on my pc anymore, I have NO MOUSE LAGS.

I visited Kaspersky website to see if I had the choice to uninstall ONLY that driver developed by Kaspersky (mouse driver), but no, I couldn't. Unlikely from other drivers, I can't uninstall that driver through "device manager".

I followed instructions provided by Kaspersky to download "KAVREMVR", but when I ran it on my pc, it uninstalled the Kaspersky program totally: I had no options to uninstall any data(drivers) instead of the entire program.

I installed Kaspersky again, from the website, using my register key, tried again to run Kavremvr, but again it uninstalled everything without any options.

My specs are:

Microsoft Windows 10 Home Single Language version 22H2

Version 10.0.1905 Build 19045

System AZW, Model SER, x64 based pc

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics, 3201 Mhz, 8 cores, 16 logical processors 16gb ram.

Bios AMD SER5H508, 12/12/2023, version 3.3, UEFI, 255.255

I don't let Windows Update running free as it wants because some days ago I was very happy with my 21H2 version of Windows 10 and - unfortunately - when I bought another pc it came with Windows 11 installed. I had a pendrive with my saved 21H2 version, but when I installed it on my new pc, it took me to Microsoft website, which doesn't have 21H2 version available anymore. So, regarding updates, I just see if there is something really important to install,  what is needed for Windows to run as I want, otherwise I don't install. I'm not techy expert, unfortunately, but I do what I can.

If there's a way to install Kaspersky antivirus WITHOUT mouse driver, I will do it.

I'll really appreciate if there is a solution.

Le'ts see, several considerations:

W10 21H2 stopped having support from Microsoft. It is VERY IMPORTANT 1STly to have the operating system fully updated with ALL THE SECURITY PATCHES and DRIVERS for devices, and it seems it not Your case.

Also, W10 in general, will stop having Microsoft support next year 2025.

Hey, wait a minute! Are you my boss?

Do you work for Kaspersky OR Microsoft????

I didn't say I don't update my drivers!

You should consider taking some classes of reading, understanding...and politeness.

What should matter for you, as you work FOR Kaspersky, is resolve the issues delivered by customers of the Company which pays your salary!

Does Kaspersky demand to be rude to work for it????

Thanks for nothing! I'm giving up of Kaspersky and all that ....!

Hum 🤔 I think You misunderstood my words 🤷‍♂️

Firstly, where are my words rude? Only because I pointed in capital letters the important tips / suggestions, You consider it rude my words? 🤷‍♂️🙄

Secondly, I just suggested some tips, because having a not updated Windows and drivers may lead to issues with devices, in your case, the mouse.

And thirdly, in general any mod (red colored status nicks) in this community, "work for Kaspersky", what I mean is that We are volunteers, and We don't get any salary from Kaspersky, We are just many years experienced users that, out of love for the company, We selflessly lend our knowledge to help Kaspersky users with problems.

I just sent You some significant tips in order Your system is fully updated and working with a supported, stable version.

What does capital letters mean to you?

If you were from my generation, who had good Language classes, would know that capital letters mean you're yelling.

I didn't reach this comunnity to take advises about windows and its updates.

I came here to solve an issue started by the Company you "don't" work for... lol 😒

That's ok. I'm happy again without Kaspersky. Lost a bit money, but what I'd do with that? Maybe some cigarrettes...or "medicine"...a small one, of course!
