My computer’s on-board network adapter is an Intel I219-V. It works fine in Windows, but when I boot the KRD it does not see it, there is no network adapter available.

As I have KRD on a USB stick, can I download a driver in Windows and put it on the stick, then install it after I boot KRD?

I am trying to provide hardware info, but the forum won’t allow me to attach a .tgz file.

I converted it to a .zip file but still I get:

Try to compress by zip original *.tgz file and upload it.

You can rename .zip file into .txt and upload it (it’s our research)

KRD has driver for Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V, but it wasn’t loaded…

Try to do following steps:

1. Load KRD
2. Open terminal
3. Enter command 1-3 as on screenshot below

 

Make screenshot (press PrtScr on keyboard) and attach it to this forum. After command [2] internet connection may be established.

Can you also run following command in terminal

lspci -vv -nn -k -D > /root/lspci.txt

and attach lspci.txt here, please.

I followed the suggestions in the two previous messages. Unfortunately, the module was not inserted - “Unknown symbol”.

insmod e1000e.ko

try execute this:

modprobe e1000e

I tried modprobe. Screenshot attached. Seems module was loaded but ethernet didn’t start.

Is there a way to make the module load on boot so I can see if rebooting starts it?

It seems that linux driver from KRD doesn’t know how to work with this device. I’ve downloaded fresh sources from Intel, but it’s need some time to compile them for KRD.

Any update on this @Andrey Kirzhemanov 

 

New version of KRD (with fresh linux kernel) is planned at the end this year.
