Hi all, after the latest update Kaspersky vanished from the context menu e.g. to scan a specific file via right-click in MS explorer. I checked other forums and it seems that quite a number of users are affected.

Does anyone know when there will be a fix available or if there is another way to fix this issue?

Please proceed with a clean install :

Uninstall > Reboot > Reinstall > Reboot

There must be a bug fix provided by Kaspersky!

I have been using Kaspersky for years and the current issue was caused by Kaspersky's update. I surely don't want to go through a lengthy Uninstall > Reboot > Reinstall > Reboot process.

(Berny is an automated Bot, right?)

I had the very same issue. A clean reinstall did the trick.

I didn't have to uninstall Kaspersky first.
Try exporting your settings, and then just download the installer and run it over top of the current install. Then make sure you run a database update and reboot a couple times. Import your settings if necessary.

That's what I did, and it fixed the missing context menu items. That was about a week ago, & I haven't had any problems at all. I was nervous that I'd have to spend hours getting my settings back to normal, but it was fine.

I did uninstall Kaspersky, but I kept my settings. I always export my settings to a dedicated folder before and after "tweaking" my settings, and I do the same when I uninstall and reinstall Kaspersky. A clean reinstall is no problem at all and definitely not time-consuming as long as you keep your settings.
