Since the latest update in January 2023, this product:

1. No longer detects malware samples on-access. I must run the scanner for it to detect and remediate the malware.

2. Boot-up time now takes approximately 2 minutes. This is a totally new and aggravating feature.

3. Cannot change settings as the "padlock" won't unlock.

I have contacted support and have had them peruse my desktop, without results. I have also have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and still get the issues in 1, 2, and 3.

Suggestions or comments?

Hello @lth651

Welcome!

A.

  1. Which Kaspersky version & patch(x), x = letter - open Kaspersky app main window, select Help → Support?
  2. Which macOS version, refer: Find OS software version?
  3. May we know which Region (you're) in please?
  4. Is Stage Manager enabled?
  5. Re "I have contacted support and have had them peruse my desktop", (a) did support provide an incident reference number, beginning with INC000? (b) Were logs & data submitted for analysis? (c) What is Kaspersky support doing about the problem *now*?

B. Please do the following:

  1. Check: Kaspersky Standard, List of incompatible applications
  2. Check: Kaspersky Standard, Hardware and software requirements
  3. In (your) MyKaspersky account, confirm the Kaspersky Standard LICENSE information/number is saved?
  4. Create a *new* macOS Admin account?
  5. Uninstall Kaspersky Standard, follow Uninstall the application - IF during the uninstall there's an option to save *any* data, do not save anything other than LICENSE information.
  6. Create a Time Machine Backup
  7. At the end of the uninstall empty, clear the following: TRASH, macOS Temp Folder (if you can't find it use: echo $TMPDIR &   open $TMPDIR).
  8. At the completion of 1. to 6. SHUTDOWN, power OFF the MAC, power on.
  9. Login with the *NEW* Admin account
  10. Download a *new* Kaspersky Standard installer.
  11. Install Kaspersky Standard - use: Kaspersky Standard, Install application
  12. Recheck the original issues?

Please share the outcome with the Community, when it's available?

Thank you?
