What specific settings in Kaspersky Safe Kids have you experimented with, and have you tried temporarily disabling any additional features or components of Kaspersky to see if that resolves the issue with Fortnite?

 please check this

You do this using regedit, that is built into Windows. You should close (right-click, Quit) Kaspersky Safe Kids before doing the steps below.

1. Press the Windows button and type regedit
2. You will be asked to allow the program to modify your PC - press Yes.
3. On the left, you will see HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, open that folder.
4. You'll see SOFTWARE, open that folder.
5. You'll see Wow6432Node, open that folder.
6. You'll see KasperskyLab, open that folder.
7. You'll see KidSafe23.0, open that folder.
8. You'll see settings - select that.
9. On the right, you'll see EnableSelfProtection - double-click that.
10. Change the value to 0. Press OK.
11. Restart your PC.

Kaspersky support told me it's a Fortnite issue, not a Kaspersky issue (which I doubt). But they said turning off Self Defense is the workaround for now. The only step they added that's not in the steps above is to boot into safe mode before modifying the registry.
