Also, I am seeing that every post I make has to be approved by a mod now

I still have a "your content will need to be approved by a moderator" before I even post anything. It's a permanent banner on the forums for me, so for some reason, I have been punished, which is absolutely outrageous. All I've ever done is be a paying customer, and I've stayed away from the forums besides a few posts with legitimate issues, but overall, barely any posts in YEARS.

If that's all it takes to upset Kaspersky, I really don't know what more to say.

That said, I actually came back here to say thankyou to those who tried to help me, and also apologise as I felt I have wasted their time, as I have moved on.

I have been testing Avira since I uninstalled Kaspersky, and although there are things I strongly dislike about it, I can say that about every single AV I have ever tested, and besides 2 very famous ones I will never touch, I have tested ALL the commercial ones over the years.

I have decided to let my Kaspersky license not renew and have bought 2 years of Avira. It has the super simple firewall control feature and outbound alerts option for when only NEW apps that are not already in the app list, try to make an internet connection. The alerts don't occur for any other purpose. So I have finally found something to replace Little Snitch from my Mac days for me, and the performance is about on par with the big K so far. I am also deeply concerned about the government ban Australia recently made on K, and I am worried that if I pay to renew that a total country ban could occur and I'll wake up one day with TotalAV installed on my machine. That's a realistic worry to have, and I need to see how the situation plays out and re evaluate it in 2 years, which is what I always do. I evaluate when my license expiry is close and spend days and days of testing and make the best decision for myself for the next 2 years. Rinse and Repeat. This time I have chosen Avira, and it works flawlessly with Malwarebytes simultaneously with protection enabled on both. I added exceptions to both, very carefully, and did some malware tests in a sandbox to see if they conflicted, and with real malware, neither bothered the other.

If I am still shadow banned in 2 years, for what I will never know, I won't be back. But I really appreciate the help I received and the fact that people cared and really came to my aid to the best of their ability, so just wanted to wish you all a sincere farewell and hope to see you again some day.

Thanks again all.

Peace

T

PS See? As soon as I pressed submit I got the moderator warning and colour coded purple border, my content is not posted, needs approval, and I have no attachments so that's not the reason. This started after I posted in this topic a few days back,  and now for every post I now make, so I will not tolerate that from ANY company or ANY forum and will never push to be where I am not wanted. But I am making a public protest about it this one time, as it's just wrong, and it's lost K a customer for now.

Hello @Bav,

the 'moderator warning' is not directly due to you or your posts. The thread itself is set to 'Post Approval Enabled'. I don't know the reason, don't want to just intervene. I will contact the colleague, maybe it was an oversight.

EDIT:
Moderators preview canceled.
It was just a minor accident...
