Kaspersky Free will be discontinued?

I have been using Kaspersky Free for years because it is light weight compared to Bitdefender. But I read in here and on Reddit that it will be discontinued. It is this true? I can't the Kaspersky Free link anymore, only behind My Kaspersky account.

Yes, it appears to be true, however, officially Kaspersky are not saying much about it - our formal enquiry in July 2025 - received this response from the Kaspersky expert team: 

"...regrettably, no details regarding Kaspersky Free that we could share at the moment. There is also no official statement."

• Reading thru some of the posts in the Russian section it may be possible to install the trial version, when that expires it switches to Free - we don't know if this is correct, we haven't tested it & we're not going to - Kaspersky could make a simple statement - not too much to ask. 

Additionally, the experts have today responded to an outstanding KFA document update request from March, 2024, as follows:

"No fixes are planned as KFA Help is no longer updated. This is a free product without support."

Which, ioo doesn't make sense bc KFA has *always* been a free product, without support, that didn't stop Kaspersky expert documentation team from keeping the doco current - in the past🤦‍♂️.

Also, the KFree already installed products are still auto-updating to the new 21.22a version.

Also , the link  https://www.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus   is now offering the Kaspersky Standard trial version :

Still, You can find KFree 21.21 (probably global installer in English), if You perform a search in InterNet.

Hello

if your remaining activation code expire. than what will likely to happen:

Kaspersky software is highly unlikely to auto renew your activation time.

so you cannot perform a databases update after activation expire. and antivirus function stop working. you cannot use the program anymore.

you can only choose to uninstall it or buy a subscription.

The online help document states that it would automatically renew, does that mean it will no longer automatically renew? And once the activation code is changed and the product is discontinued, no new free activation codes will be granted?
