Downloaded from https:// www . cheatengine . org/downloads.php official website

Apparently lots of vendors love to think of it as a virus, trojan specifically. I'm just looking to mod games for fun *single player so for me only*.

I have 3 rules that are different from Default in KTS: Programs that couldn't be put in a category are high restricted, programs that load prior to KTS are high restricted, and do not trust digitally signed programs. Also KTS is password-protected.

What would be the most secure thing for me to do if I want CE7.5 to be let thru? Do I put it in the Trusted Applications category under Threats and Exclusions?

Welcome to Kaspersky Community.

It seems the installer contains an Adware. In this case, even putting it in Trusted probably would not work, for sure looks a suspicious or not so legit app, see the number of AV firms flagging it in VirusTotal.

You should try to create an exclusion, adding the name of the file and specifying the exact detection:

Cheat Engine itself is clean but the installer on their website is bundled with PUPs. I think the one one hosted on GitHub doesn’t have this problem.
