Hello community,

I’m reporting that the avp.exe application (PID: 6556) is causing me some trouble due to a conflict with requests to port 67.

In short, the antivirus scans for DHCP packets to detect devices connecting to the home network and the Ethernet connection. This is done by listening on UDP port 67, as shown in the image

The blocked software is the BOOTp/DHCP Tool, which listens for requests from devices on the local network, displays their MAC addresses, and allows the assignment of a specific IP address, subnet mask, and gateway— making it crucial for accessing Allen Bradley hardware.

Is there a practical solution to this problem?

Regards, Myz.
