How to clear the "news" notification in Android Kaspersky?

For weeks now at the top of the android kaspersky I've has a "news" item (an email icon) at the top of the home screen stuck with a (1) indicating a new subject I guess, tapping on it show a pointless news item about "Critical vulnerability in Windows...." dated last month, despite reading (and even clicking link in it the notification stays at the top with the (1) in it.

How do I get rid of this (1) or more usefully stop these pointless "news stories" appearing in the 1st place?

Welcome back!

Kaspersky app -> select Settings, in the General menu -> toggle Messages OFF.

Thanks for the tip. I had the same issue and i just gave up.  I see that under Messages, it says (in French for me) "recevoir l'actualité et les offres spécials de Kaspersky (get news and special offers from Kaspersky)".
