Please show me how to block utube ads, i'm using Kasersky Premium.

Posted (edited)

Hi @shindegeist

That's really not going to happen unless you use a 3rd party app, browser extension, and even those get circumvented by YouTube after a bit. So it's not a Kaspersky issue or setting that can take care of it. Go to Malwaretips forum and search "YouTube ads" for anything that may be of help. I spend enough time on YouTube to justify the cost of a Premium membership, so, fortunately, I don't have to deal with that cat-and-mouse ad game on YouTube.

Regards.

Hello @shindegeist

Welcome!

👉Please share a URL with us that has a utube ad, we'd like to test a possible solution?

💥Also, FYI: *Brave* is not supported for Kaspersky's AV software range.

Thank you🙏

I would not recommend using Brave, shady practices, shady CEO, shady everything. Cryptobrowser.

Just use uBlock with most filter lists turned on.

@Crylune Brave is the safest browser. Check test https://privacytests.org/

Btw ceo is person who founded Mozilla firefox 🙃

I know that site and disagree wholly with it and its strong and apparent bias towards Brave.

The 'safest' browser is any Chromium browser that isn't Brave or Opera, due to its actual functioning sandboxing compared to Firefox. Firefox's own former head of security laughed at it, while the founder of the Mozilla Foundation & the guy who created Firefox's engine both scoff at today's Mozilla.

The state of Firefox is really saddening, and I say this as a former 12 year long user of Firefox, now using Chrome because it is unironically the most clean and non-bloated Chromium browser apart from raw Chromium. Yes, that is the world we live in, where Chrome is a good option. Mozilla turned Firefox into such an inefficient resource hog and continues to hamper its usability day by day.

If by 'safe' you meant privacy - you want complete privacy? Unplug your ethernet cable. And I wouldn't trust a firm who basically entered their whole referral link into every ad you click on their shady crypto system with my privacy - I don't find that very honest.

Additionaly, the CEO founding Firefox doesn't make him and his actions any less deplorable these days.

Regardless, this is derailing from the original post.

Brave No. 1 sorry, 🤷

Firefox is not so secure like chromium browser but is also good.

I believe that the Vivaldi browser is safer in terms of privacy.

@SystemInfoif@SystemInfoif you prefer blocking ads as 1st then Privacy then ok.

Vivaldi is worse than original Google Chrome as i saw.

But okay 100 people = 100 browsers 🙃

I know what is the best and i use it.

Please check tests on internet .

All other replies not needed.

I disagree with your analysis, because Vivaldi has more privacy and security and the same as Chrome, because it uses the same engine, now in terms of privacy, Vivaldi is much superior.
