Hello everyone,
As per the subject line, I read on the official blog that the Linux version is now available for home users as well.
Unfortunately, however, it's not currently available for download from my Kaspersky account in Italy.

https://www.kaspersky.com/blog/kaspersky-for-linux/54697/

Does anyone know when it will be possible to do so, or if there's already a way to get the installation file?

Thanks everyone.

Hello @fabiodanzetta

Welcome back!

  1. Right at the very bottom of the blog it states: NB: Kaspersky for Linux isn’t GDPR-ready just yet. The blog is dated November 3rd, 2025.
  2. Kaspersky Customer Service https://support.kaspersky.it/b2c/it#contacts - may have more current information, have (you) reached out to them? IF 'yes', what did they say? IF 'no', please do so, and please share their feedback with the Community - when it's available?

Thank you🙏

same here, no link to download the linux version. I am from indonesia

I just tried the trial to test Kaspersky on Linux, but I couldn't find any download link for the Linux version. That's really disappointing. I'm going to unsubscribe now.

Hello, everyone.
The Italian support team simply told me that they do not have a release date for the Italian language version of the product.

When it is available, I will find it in my Kaspersky.

You can download it from the African site at the moment if you want to.

https://www.kaspersky.co.za/downloads/plus

You can activate it with the activation code of your subscription.

Officially only Ubuntu and some RPM based Linux flavors popular in Russia and third-world countries are supported but I have tested it with some other popular RPM based Linux flavors and it's running fine mostly. It does have some minor issues on SUSE for example with Web Protection but nothing game breaking.

While the download works, it asks for a Activation Code that is not showing up in My Kaspersky portal. This seems to be regional issue. The support team is telling me that it doesn't work on Linux.

Also, by installing that version it ask for an Activation Code and you can read "Comercial" besides it. Can confirm that it is using the Home Premium with this version?

Hello guys! Good news! It works, you might need to get in touch with the support, they can provide you the Activation Code!

Download: https://products.s.kaspersky-labs.com/homeuser/Kaspersky_for_Linux_2.0/2.0.0.987/multilanguage-2.0.0.987/3936313834367c44454c7c31/kfl_2.0.0-987_amd64.deb.setup

This version includes the command kfl-control and the GUI. Although the GUI doesn't offer much of a control; IE you can't even disable the Notifications.
(kfl-control --set-app-settings ShowPopUpNotifications=No)

Hello @felco

Thanks for your help... all up n running now.

I was able to get the GUI version installed. My Version of Ubuntu 25.10 seemed to have some missing depinces that the GUI verion was wanting... I.e. libxml2.

I found in other fotums that others are haveing this problem with Ubuntu 25.10.. seems to be a current bug.

I was able to install a libxml2 package from the previous version of Ubuntu (25.04) on my 25.10 install and that resolved the libxml2 error for me. The package is here:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+files/libxml2_2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-0.4ubuntu0.4_amd64.deb

Thanks again 🙂

I have been running Kaspersky Endpoint 11.4.0 for Linux on Linux Mint 22.1 and have been telling Kaspersky for two years
that they should package their Endpoint for Linux for home users - and after downloading the Kaspersky for Linux install kit and installing it have to say that it looks like that is what they have done. Installation looks almost the same and module names are the same.

Not yet having a license I don't know what the Kaspersky for Linux GUI looks like. I attached a picture of the Endpoint window so perhaps someone can say if it's similar.

Kaspersky support in late December told me that Kaspersky for Linux is available in the following countries:

Australia
South Africa
Hong Kong
Philippines
Singapore
Azerbaijan
Kazakhstan
Belarus

If you are interested in Kaspersky Endpoint for Linux a license can be purchased from Laptops with Linux in the EU.
I don't have the Kaspersky Endpoint kit download links at hand right now to post.
[Found it: here]
Since I do not live in the EU in order to activate it I had to VPN into the EU - after activation no problem as long as it can access the Kaspersky update servers.

Yes.. This screen looks exactly the same.

I'm not sure what it's like under the hood... But the GUI seems the same.

Based on Shay's post above I am 99.9% sure that Kaspersky is just re-marketing their Endpoint for Linux workstation kit for home users. Two years ago I determined how to install Endpoint and purchased a license from Laptops with Linux.

I am surprised that Kaspersky didn't simplify installation and provide a GUI like their products for Windows but I guess that is more difficult and will take more time.
