How do I disable this xxxxxxxx with all devices syncing data or passwords?

I have already sworn at microsoft for trying to force me to store my data in a cloud & sync my devices now I see Kaspersky is trying to do the same.

It looks like you are trying to force me to be vulnerable to hackers.

Hello @WarrenSinden

Welcome back!

  1. IF (you're) referring to Kaspersky Password Manager - Data syncing, see the following image at dotpoint 5: UNCHECK DATA SYNC & READSync passwords and data across all your devices with Kaspersky Password Manager installed & Sync data across devices
  2. Note - with KPM Data-sync *disabled* & IF (you) have KPM installed on *other* devices - mobile phones for example - *any* changes to the KPM vault will not be populated to the *other* devices.
  3. Part of KPM's *data-protection-strategy* to protect YOU is to have KPM data backed up to YOUR MyKaspersky account, READManage your vault online.
  4. As a golden-rule, wherever possible - have Two-factor-authentication / 2FA enabled/active, READ: How to set up two-step verification - for best security & recovery, setup both available methods: via a mobile-number & via an authenticator app.

  6. IF (you're) not referring to Kaspersky Password Manager but to Kaspersky AV - where (your) topic has been raised - please provide more information - what type of Kaspersky data is being synced from the Windows device to any other device & specifically - what is that *any-other-device*?
  7. Is KSN on or off? READParticipating in Kaspersky Security Network.

Thank you🙏

I was referring to Password manager Vault which you find under Kaspersky Privacy, secret vault.

I unticked data sync when I installed password manager & had to untick it again today.

When I installed a vault on my main pc a few days back it installed it on my family pc as well.

I know I am under attack form either a hacker or hackers.

This has resulted in me closing my x.com account & try to remove all my photos from the internet.

I also know my hotmail.com email address has been comprised & this information is on the dark web but I am trying to find a new safe email address.

When I change my email address, my junk mail get filled with data collection websites that are disguised as dating websites & no I don't belong to any dating websites

Hello @WarrenSinden

  1. Kaspersky Premium & OR Plus Secret Vault is *totally* different to Kaspersky Master Password Vault, READ: About Secret Vault                                                                                                                        image.thumb.png.cb28e20b472041c792aed4489643909f.png
  2. Depending on the AV subscription, ioo, there's nothing abnormal abt KPM installing on a second device.
  3. Even tho (you) may be selecting Open at the KPM card in the Kaspersky AV - that *action* opens a completely separate application = KPM, KPM is installed *seperately* to the AV application, selecting Open in the AV interface doesn't open KPM - it prompts the KPM application to present itself so (you) can log in.
  4. For comprimised email has Data Leak Checker been used?
  5. Check IF there's any browser with password manager active (other-than-KPM) || Kaspersky's best-security-practice recommendation for browsers is not to use password manager that come shipped with browsers.
  6. For changed email addresses & more spam or a heap of spam from a specific source - have the spam filters been setup on the new email account? Have all security & privacy settings on the new email account been reviewed as well?
  7. For *all* other issues please log a request with Kaspersky Customer Service, https://support.kaspersky.com/b2c/global#contacts - select EMAIL, fill in the template as shown, provide a *detailed-history*  - the Kaspersky Team may request Logs, Traces & other data in their efforts to assist (you).
  8. NOTE - it's up to (you) which Kaspersky application (you) log the issue under, there's no information abt which AV is installed, we only have the information provided, select from the dropdown list highlighted as (A)                                                                                                                                       image.thumb.png.e1d006a2919d5909609b6e993f0848d9.png

Thank you🙏

Also, to protect your KPM vault you may consider to setup 2FA on your My Kaspersky account
