Hallo,

Today my son thanked me for adding an extra 8 hours of use time on his PC. I looked at my console and device use settings and it clearly stated 2 hours. I then went to his PC and there the settings also stated 2 hours but the device was not blocked and a side window - hour glass image indicated that he had another 8 hours of use time !!!

Does anyone know What is going on?

Welcome back!

  1. What is the KSK version & patch → hover the mouse over the KSK icon in the Windows Taskbar.
  2. Check the system time, is it synchronized with time.windows.com?
  3. Please download/export the KSK Summary, 7day report (see image), 📎 attach to your reply please - with the data we may be able to determine what’s happened🤔

Hallo.

On my or my sons PC? on my task bar I have the Kaspersky endpoint security 10 for windows.

  1. Kaspersky Safe Kids version & patch → hover the mouse over the KSK icon in the Windows Taskbar.
  2. Son’s device operating system, version & build? In Windows search🔎 field type  winver   press enter
  3. Is KSK also installed on your device? If “no”, how is KSK managed/configured etc?
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows is from Kaspersky’s business product range.

KSK is not installed on my device/PC. I log in to kaspersky  and change settings as a parent for my son’s PC.

I have Endpoint Security 10 for Windows on my PC.

My son has windows 7 version 6.1 built 7601 operating system

Hallo and thank you very much for your help.

I did all that you said but I also just noticed that when you upgraded the version you changed by default the setting to ‘show warning’ instead of ‘block device’. I was not aware of the change of setting and now, after setting back to ‘block the device’ everything is good, again.
